If you have an Arranged Employment Opinion (AEO) certified by HRSDC and it was included in your application you don't require settlement funds other wise $10.158 for a single applicant.

Since you are posting this thread in the "Foreign Worker" section of this forum, I take it you are talking about if you need a certain required amount in settlement funds as a potential temporary foreign worker going on a temporary work permit, who has an arranged job and a job offer, NOT a potential Permanent Resident going to Canada under one of the streams, such as Family, Skilled Worker, etc.. Is that right?

There is an exception if you are going as a Permanent Resident, where you don't need that $10,000 mentioned by another threader for a single applicant settlement fund if you do hhave a job offer and an arranged job.

Now, if you are coming in as a temporary foreign worker (which you should be since you are asking this in the Foreign Worker part of the forum), and since you have a job offer through it, I think you are fine not having to provide a large sum of settlement funds from the start, and definitely not $10,000. It's not exactly clear here or how much as the reply above was talking about the settlement funds and exception for a job offer for those seeking Permanent Residency, not going on a temporary work permit visa. But, I am pretty sure you will be okay with a job offer. I am unsure about this as well, since nobody ever mentions it about Temporary Foreign Workers. I have run across a number in the area of $2500, but am unsure if that applies to those with a job offer, or just those with an open temporary work permit.

Hi Friends,

I have got invitation from CIC. I have some questions in filling the application:

1. How much money you bring to Canada:
1. Is it acceptable to show balance from primary and dependent account separately to CIC (and upload as same document)?, since we don't have common account and my individual bank balance is less than specified($15000).
2. Also when filling application I have mentioned $25000. If I change this to $15000 whether it will get any impact?

2. Travel history:
"Provide details of any trips <Applicant_NAME> has taken outside his/her country of origin or of residence in the last ten years (or since his/her 18th birthday if this was less than ten years ago). Include all trips: tourism, business, training, etc.
You can tell us about each trip by filling in the fields below. "

I am an Indian and lives in Canada since last two years. I have never been traveled to any other country.
Whether I need to choose "Yes" or "No" for this question?.

Thanks!
