I have been a member of this forum for more than 2 years. When i joined the forum, i was hoping to land within 6 months and setup an online business. While there are plenty of ways to do stuff and make money on the internet, i always wanted a real merchandise to be setup, an online store which sells real goods/services and leverage the internet marketing domain for advertisement and reach.
I have been researching and trying out lot of things related to this and I want to share the knowledge, experience and research outcome with all of you.
and NO, this is not tech stuff, this is something that everyone can do and be successful at? How do i know? Well i have got members in my family with no IT background to do it and get it right.
This does not involve writing code or configuring servers or anything related to that. We will be after the free or cheap resources in the internet to set this up.
and definitely NO, we are NOT talking about getting rich overnight. This requires commitment, passion, patience, perseverance and a genuine interest.
What I plan to do is to do a webinar (online presentation) for 1 hr or so based on the following topics.
1. Feasibility of online business
2. Identifying right products
3. Setting up the right tools – shopping cart, payment gateway, customer support, virtual numbers
4. Setting up catalogue, margins and pricing
5. We dont stock or need warehouse - Drop shipping (how to find highly rated and reliable drop shippers)
5. Internet marketing - How to get people to visit your online store
6. Customer support - How to be a global player, web and phone presence
Also we will be working out the financials of operating costs, margins, Break even, taxes, risks with online payments etc.
Oops I missed, this is [size=10pt][size=10pt]completely FREE. And I am not trying to sell anything here[/size][/size]. Nothing yet al-least
My objective is to share knowledge and to gain knowledge from all of you
If you guys can respond to this thread or PM me on your interest, I can setup a webinar and announce a time. I would need a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 25 to get started. Also the nearest time at which i can set this up is on 9th June
