What's the deal with September...am I missing something here?

Some CIC agent once said that cutoff scores will start going down in September.

If I remember correctly he said that cutoff scored will start to go down after September October, so I think hoping that it would come down dramatically in the very first September draw is hoping for a bit too much. However if that happens then I'd be the happiest person:)

I don't think there would be any change in cuttoffs. Apart from the famous CIC agent, there has not been any indication from government or IRCC that the cuttoffs will go down.

I think it is better to wait for the express entry changes and the proposed higher immigration quota for 2017.

I think the minister keeps mentioning fall as timeline for changes.
The astronomical fall (Northern Hemisphere) 2016 begins on Thursday, September 22 and ends on Tuesday, December 20---a bit vague (just my thought)
Like everyone, i would be extremely pleased if anything changes sooner.

Or cultural fall in Canada. Thanksgiving is 10 Oct and its traditionally a time when farmers done their harvesting, celebrate it, and then brace for winter

I expect the 7th of sept draw to be above 500 as well, a few pnp draws happened last two weeks, however (and thats guessing too) I think after that we'll see 475-490 draws

Ah man i never knew how lucky I was with the ITA after 7 days of submitting 485pts until i found this forum. (cutoff July was 482) .

Good luck to all of you and lets hope that the CIC agent was right.

I have the exact opposite case. Delayed my submission due to extra workload at office and submitted just in time for August 24th draw only to see my my EE score of 520 deemed not sufficient! I hope the scores dont go as high as the last draw in the future.

this draw i'm sure will be over 500 also, hoping next draw onwards scores will start coming down...

I think it all depends on how many ITAs do they send out. Scores will only start to come down when the number of ITAs are increased significantly compared to what we have seen over the past few months. Depending on that it could be tomorrow, next month or next year

Whats the best link to chk the draw results? CIC or other websites, which are accurate and timely?
