September Spousal Applicant-No News from IRCC (only the sponsor side

Hi everyone . I have a question. My husband (the sponsor) who lives in grand prairie , neutralized already as canadian citizen, passed his side of whatever is written in the document checklist thru mail on september 13th , they recieved it on september 18th which we knew because of the tracking details the post office gave him. The problem is we found out later that the package we passed , it was lacking a month later because we started worrying-ended up it should be passed including the spouses’ /principal applicants forms and documents. Now we were just waiting for any news from IRCC . Is it possible that there was no problem on our paper? Since they didnt returned it and until
Now no news from them? At all ? Or would they inform us later on that we are lacking so they need to return it? We are very worried since we dont know what is happening with our paper, should we expect that it will be returned or would they ask for the rest of the package?

Cause we thought the sponsor has to pass eligibilty before we can pass the PR application and the rest of the forms from the Principal applicant.

It would probably be returned since you are missing half of the package, if I'm understanding correctly. But maybe try calling them to see if it has been returned.

They have seemed to be more lenient lately with missing documents but since you're missing such a huge part of the application it wouldn't surprise me if they return it.

It can take 10 weeks or more for the application to be looked at, factor in any postal strikes etc...could be a while. No way to know, unfortunately.

They don't inform you unless you happen to call and they are able to tell you.

Thank you, right now we are trying to reach them. Because we are planning to pass a new set of package including everything in. But we were wondering if we need to wait for it to arrive.

I wouldn't do anything until you know what the deal is.

Call the 1 888 number from inside Canada at 7:55am EST, 2, 1, 1, 0 on the menu. It will keep hanging up on you until you get through.
