Hello guys...i need ur help since u r experienced about this topic. Guys i have all my file complete to b applied in embassy for visa but my GIC recipt is not yet with me. It takes 5 days to process guys but last date to apply for visa according to my counseller is 10th august. Guys please tell me is there any deadline to apply the visa. I am on peak time guys..very tensed.

I have applied for PhD in Mechanical Engineering at UVic and got the letter of acceptance. I have applied for Study permit at Ahmadabad VFS on 3rd August 2015. Earlier I finished two months of Research internship at UVic in 2014 and then Came back to India. Again I went to UVic for about 8 months for my masters thesis and came back in May 2015 (On Student Visa). My financial background is very strong but i haven't issued any GIC nor I paid first year fees. I was not required to give medical exam and any English test.

When it comes to Visa, it always makes me nervous.

I just wanted to ask what are my chances of getting permit approved?

Starting school at Concordia University in B.A. program this September. Applied for study permit on June 16 with upfront med. exam. Med exam "Passed" on July 17, still not news. CIC needs to step it up.

Congrats for add into phd...
But isnt that phdz apply fr pr rather than a student visa ...as it takes 4-5yrs ..student visa isnt for such long periods n hence dey give pr right away.

I was referring to the phd duration ...as it takes long 4-5 yrs...I think in ur 2 r 3 yr u can apply fr pr. But donno how this reflected post ee (express entry).
