Before you can know more about background check being started & eligibility, you have to link your application with the tracker. That’s when you would be able to see what’s done and what’s in progress.

hello can u pl tell me how much fee for TRV and we can apply TRV with spousal visa or we have to wait to get file no..

I can't remember the fee, you can check on CIC website.
You can apply right away, no file number needed. TRV is quick, mine takes less than a month.

AOR 1- goes to sponsor and comes from a visa processing office that received the application from within Canada (example Mississauga)
AOR 2- goes to principal applicant and comes from the visa processing office abroad that is now processing the application (example Singapore)

Yes, I did use a rep. The thing with reps is that they receive all the emails and they have to update you. My rep forwards me the emails whenever they receive one. Maybe creating an account on tracker will help, but you will need the help of the rep because they will send them an email to them to confirm your username.

I had couple of new updates lately:
- Application Submitted: 7 September 2023
- Application rejected: 02 November 2023
- Application re-submitted: 7 November 2023
- AOR: 30 November 2023
- Biometrics Request: 04 January 2024
- Biometrics Done: 05 January 2024
- SA approval: 05 January 2024

you seem to be very good at the application details, may I ask why you used and paid for a rep?

Hi guys I received the pre-arrival letter.

But I never got the request for medical even though it says on the status that they sent it to me and I haven't submitted it. I did submit the biometrics after the request.

Wondering if someone is in a similar situation. And wanted to know what it means to receive pre-arrival letter. Thanks

Forget pre arrival. It means nothing if medical is not done or if you haven't paid RPRF.
Resolve the medical test asap. You can check your spam folder. If still missing, send CIC a webform and request for re-sending medical letter.
Simultaneously, contact medical test center and try to get your appointment. Let them know that Cic sent it but its lost. They won't care.
Get it done asap so that ur medical test results are send back to cic and ur applications doesn't stalls.

It may have been a mistake. I had a lot on my plate and I didn't have time to do my research. I also did not want to risk it and do a silly mistake. Ironically, the mistake happened from the rep side and the AOR was delayed. Anyway, it is what it is now but I get your point. If I can take time back, I would have done it myself.

If you have already received one as a sponsor then yes.

Although my AOR 2 includes which migration office it was moved to.

But I guess the format might be different for everyone

hello..has anybody else that applied in Sept not recieved AOR? we applied Sept 6 and have not recieved any updates nor have we recieved AOR....wondering what could be the reason or reasons for the delay, we are outland applicants...
