Hey everyone, I'm May 8 applicant. Are there any April and March applicants still waiting for their decisions? Or are only May applicants waiting while IRCC are using their reversed clock and are dealing with June and July applications?
I am a June applicant but I have not heard from IRCCHey everyone, I'm May 8 applicant. Are there any April and March applicants still waiting for their decisions? Or are only May applicants waiting while IRCC are using their reversed clock and are dealing with June and July applications?
Hey @parrots... How are you? What about your medicals were they updated? Did you defer the Sept session? I am still paranoid about raising a webform to IRCC. Did you raised any webform? My lodge date was 25th May and apart from Biometrics nothing has been updated.Hey everyone, I'm May 8 applicant. Are there any April and March applicants still waiting for their decisions? I guess you have more chances of hearing firstI am a June applicant but I have not heard from IRCC
Hey @phoenix197 ! My medical was updates on June 29, but my husband's hasn't been updated yet. His biometrics also still reads "We have not received your biometrics". I posted a reply about the webform in "SDS 2022 Processing Time", so I just copy it here as well:Hey @parrots... How are you? What about your medicals were they updated? Yes @parrots I remember now you mentioned it in one of the posts. I was wondering why you're feeling that we won't get our decision from IRCC even for Jan uptake. Is it because the spouse's open work permit is taking 44 weeks to process?Hey @phoenix197 ! My medical was updates on June 29, but my husband's hasn't been updated yet. We've already sent several webforms - three in all three consulates in China and one general webform (I guess, Canada). We've got one automated reply from China 8 weeks later stating that our application is in progress and one reply from Canada (I guess) 5 weeks later stating they can not verify our information (also automated response). After that, we sent two more webforms - one (two months ago) with information on some of our updated documents and one (a week ago) about deferral to Winter 2023 - we haven't gotten any reply to these two. We have also ordered GCMS notes, so waiting on those.
Don't be worried about the webforms. Honestly, they don't make any difference. If they did there would have been plenty of evidence by now from people that somehow their files have been either delayed or sped up, but there is simply none. It is obvious now that everyone just gets an automated standardized reply and if you send a webform requesting an update on your status you'll also get one of those. They don't say anything personal in these replies. So, it's up to you whether to send or not, I did because I'm impatient, but it doesn't matter, honestly.
Yes, I have deferred to Winter 2023, but somethings tells me we won't get our decision from the IRCC by then, no reason why, just a strange feeling.
Hey @phoenix197 It just seems to me that India and China in particular are struggling with processing times. Another reason is that in China the situation with lockdowns is so insane that, for example, we had Shanghai consulate closed from the beginning of March to mid June. Imagine what happened to all those applications in Shanghai. I guess they were moved to Beijing and Guangzhou offices. So, that might be another reason of delay specifically of our application. And the third reason is that there is a tension between China and USA / Canada / Australia nowadays, so it might reflect on the processing time as well.Yes @parrots I remember now you mentioned it in one of the posts. I was also thinking that since my college has accepted my deferral and is not providing me with a new LOA saying the old one will do, and it's under 150 days I won't be raising a web form for deferral. but for medical updates and file processing, i'll raise a webform as its way beyond 12 weeks period. Wish you Luck and Hope you two get the Visa approval soon.
I applied on June 1st and received my ppr just moments ago. You might hear from them in the coming days....Good luck!I am a June applicant but I have not heard from IRCC
Thanks for your warm wishes. If that's the case then I may attach my deferral letter too and enquire about my status in webform too. Yes, you are absolutely right about the deferral and the lack of need to inform the IRCC about it because of the 150-day corridor. I used it as an opportunity to enquire about the status or our application, but they might ignore my request all together as it there is a note that in case additional documents are submitted, the IRCC may attach them to our files, but not respond to our webform. I expect that to happen. But now we are waiting for the GCMS notes, that's more important. But then again, they might also be delayed beyond reason.
Thank you so much for your wishes! Good luck to you and your family as well! I wish us patience and success
Yeah, do attach your deferral letter and ask them about your status, let's see if they reply to our letters. We applied for GCMS just to see the progress of our application. It was 16 weeks when we applied, so I guess there must be some notes already. If there are, we'll know if our file is moving towards rejection or approval. In case there are none, that would mean that they haven't even touched our file yet. So, in any case it will give us some idea of what to expect and plan our next move (be that re-application or waiting for a positive decision). The only problem remains, that the notes might be delayed as well, so may end up waiting for them for months as well. So, let's seeThanks for your warm wishes. May I know why you have applied for GCMS notes as it opted after the rejection of the file?
