After how many days of ghost update did you get finger print request? And is that request in tracker or you got an email as well? I have a case similar to yours, my BG is completed but in progress for spouse and she had a GU on 16 and 20 Dec. So wondering if GU was for FP request but not evident yet on tracker.
In my case, they are not Ghost Update (if I am not misunderstanding the definition of it). All updates so far have been real updates :)
I received the request via email.

Yes now they are real updates but before you saw those updates, did you have any ghost update at all I.e change in date but all steps appearing the same as earlier.

Hi there, how did you know the finger print being received? What is your status now? Thanks for your sharing in advance.
It should show up on the citizenship tracker as "Finger Print Received". Once IRCC receives FP info from RCMP, background check should complete soon after is security check is complete from CSIS.

hi folks, 3 qns i need your help on....

1 how much time does it take from BG being complete, to a test invite?
2 do children also get BG complete (my minor child's BG showing no movement, while others are complete)?
3 if a child is a minor when applied, but turns major later, does he have to take the test?

Hi, it is the same in my case. My minor child's BC is still in progress whilst mine have been completed.

1. Varies...2 weeks seems to be an average being suggested here but really can't say
2. I believe minor's status remains in progress throughout the application untill a decision is made for the adult applicant.
3. No because they were still a minor at the time the application was completed and signed

1, it depends on a few different factors, (Online Vs Paper, Location as well) i did this analyst for Aug Cases you can read more here - in the aug forum. https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i...citizenship-applications.774107/post-10307166
i would do the same for Sep but only 1 person has Test and they are urgently processing so not even worth it.
