Do Oath Instructions emails come exactly 6 calendar days before the ceremony date or are they here and there?

Yes. Max is 6 days but sometime they send it before that too. Mine came 9 days before oath date

The process time won't change. They will just add the required documents to your file and continue with the process.

Thanks for the answer Sandy. They didn't request anything from my wife and my wife already got her ceremony date. Mine is still waiting. My wife and I submitted our documents separately at the same date.

They have removed the Oath update from my tracker. No idea why.

when was your security screening initiated and when did it complete? there are many of us waiting for 7-8+ months for security clearance

it started in Jan 2023 and was completed on sept 25.

where you find the date of security clearance? on GCMS, only shows "Type: Security Clearance"

i am just going with what the agent told me when i called. He said that your BG was started in jan we got criminality passed from RCMP and waiting on the security from other institutions

congratulations so happy for you. i am still waiting for my oath ceremony to go in progress. QQ when tracker changes oath to in progress, does it show the oath ceremony date as well? and then you wait for the email with instructions?

Yes. Email is confirmation abt oath and has details about ceremony whether in-person or zoom.

thanks .. and when tracker changes to oath in progress does it show date as well? or date is in the letter or a separate update on tracker? I am just getting excited it should be any day for me now as well lol

For some, first the Citizenship oath status updates to "In progress". And later they get another update about "Scheduled for Citizenship Oath" - Congratulations! You've been scheduled to attend your citizenship ceremony on <XXXX>. Follow the instructions you will receive in your ceremony invitation..
I got both updates together.

Email Scarborough office on Monday Oct 16 inquiring what is happening and they replied that Tracker updates are not final.

WTH. what is the point of having a tracker in the first place then. ridiculous.

well i hope you get an email soon and we also get this last update/email sooner then later. the whole process is pathetic and doesn't make sense at all
