Update: Received citizenship certificate yesterday October 3rd. File closed on September 23rd. I believe the certificate was posted on September 27th based on the date on the envelope.

Hello, I'm trying to change the address online at https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do with UCI, Date of birth but the form is failing with this. Are there any gotchas to change address online?

We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons:

If you try to change the address from outside Canada they will not allow it , only from inside can you change it online . Hope that helps

I got an In person ceremony invite as well at Scarborough but I am in Toronto.

Toronto residents are processed in Scarborough but in his case is very inconvenient. I think they were living in Ontario when he submitted his application then moved to Edmonton. This is the only expalantion I can think of
