Biometrics are valid for 10 years and Medical is for one year only. So you get your medical expiry message.

Ok. I came to Canada in 2016 on a study permit, I remember giving biometrics for my application. Will it ever update or my application will just keep processing in right direction? Don't they usually ask for biometrics if needed as soon as medical is updated?

Update 26 Oct - 2019 Biometric details got updated for self and wife
Rest all no update including medical... so not sure what does that mean... no choice but to wait

Medical passed today 28 Oct... will continue to wait for BG check

But how will the officer know if the applicant is inland or outland at this stage?

It is possible to know from your mailing and residential address and I have also submitted proof of experience from current workplace. Also, I have mentioned in separate document that I have a PGWP.

you didn't submit your biometrics with your application? If you did that then don't worry they will update it or if you didn't submit them your biometric letter with your file you can do that via webform.

I'm an outland OINP pnp express entry, medical done in advance, got my AOR on 1st of Sep. (same day of submission); and till now I don't have any update; my application didn't even go in progress, is this normal? when should I be expecting any update?

Hopefully by end of November as there are alot of backlog cases.. fingers crossed

I pray that they clear the log by max end of this year; but from what I am seeing here; seems like there are people who are still waiting from Jan 2021 & this is not a good sign to be honest...

People should stop confusing paper based with express entry, it’s true some have been waiting for this long and they all seem to be PAPER BASED which if you look at IRCC website it says it could take up to 22 months to process or almost two years. Meanwhile EE is six months which still is not proving to be true for most cases but rather more like 10-12 months so notice the difference and stop confusing people….if someone is waiting from 2019 and they are express entry then something is very wrong with their application.

I totally agree with you, I have FSW outland (OINP-PNP-based) and I got my AOR on 1st of September, 2021 and I am starting to worry honestly; no one could answer me how long I need to wait to get the first update till now; I mean it makes no sense that I haven't got a single update till now....

Hopefully things will get better now for all of us.. lets hope november is the month that proves to be lucky for us..
