I received the ceremony invitation letter yesterday (feb 14th) for the ceremony on feb 23, if someone wants to update the sheet

No. .zip isn't once of the accepted formats.

It says so in the instructions :

Try to send one email for all your documents and use one of the formats we accept: .tiff, .jpg, .png, .doc, .docx and .pdf. You can’t upload any other file format.

Hi, does anyone know what the total file size of pdf attachments can be when sending passport copies in an email to IRCC? I sent one which was 9 MB (18 attachments) in total. Not sure how to make it smaller size? There were no instructions on my document request. There was no confirmation email.

I just received this email from CIC. Subject is “Request for Documents”
The email states this:


From the assessment of your application, it is noted that you were/are outside of Canada. We require an
update on your current status.
If you have not returned to Canada, please provide us with an expected return date in order to facilitate your
citizenship processing.
If you have returned to Canada, please submit any proof such as travel itinerant, e-booking confirmation, flight
confirmation, boarding pass or a Canadian date stamp from your passport to show that you have returned to
Canada.
For any scanned documents you submit, please do the following:
Convert any scanned documents to PDF format.
Rename the PDF document with your last name and file number:
"LAST NAME - APPLICATION #".PDF
Please respond by replying to this email at CIC-Surrey@cic.gc.ca by 2022-03-07

Here is my issue:
I gave my citizenship test from outside Canada and have been stuck outside since I left Canada a year ago. Now the issue is I don’t know when I can come back because the borders are closed where I am.
I am open to going back if they need me but can anyone explain 1) what I’m supposed to reply with 2) what they actually want and 3) if anyone else has received this.

I just my notice to appear for the oath ceremony! March 2nd.

So all the lines in the application status are now "Completed" except for the Citizenship Ceremony which is still "Not started".

On ECAS it shows "Decision Made".

Anyone knows what happens next and how long it takes?

Will I be required to provide passport copies?

Usually anytime between 1 day upto 68 days to start the oath ceremony. Congrats on DM

Mine was after 22 days.

No, you should not be asked for Passport copies now.

Hi, I just wondered roughly what size were each of your pdfs? as my passport has 32 pages my pdfs totalled 9 MB approx, and I sent that in one email as there were no instructions given to me for file size limit.

I just found the Ilovepdf.com site, so helpful for compressing pdf files, if anyone needs to do that

I remember seeing a thread telling us how to call CIC from abroad but I could not longer find it by searching. Does anyone have any idea on how I can call CIC from international location? Thanks.
