Congrats. Please let me know once you get the email and once after you take the online test.

Good luck!
Thanks... I'll update here.

The email was received Today.

I'll probably wait a week or so to take the test (I wasn't expecting it to be this soon so I need to study a bit) but once I do I'll come back here to share an update.

Hi guys,
They received our application on September 17th, 2020 and started processing February 15th, 2021. However we received no AOR or anything. That’s all it says so far. From what I gather from this forum some other applications also didn’t receive an AOR. Anyone call them to sort it out? Is that the only option? Any advise for our situation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to everyone who is posting.

I also never received an AOR mail or e-mail, I contacted CIC via the web-form, to ask for my application number, so I could log into my account and check my file.
I don't think it is really necessary to receive the AOR, since I saw online that my citizenship test is now in progress
still waiting for the citizenship test e-mail though...

I have a query about those people receiving an invitation to take the Online Citizenship test.
Did you receive an official email inviting you or did you just see the notification in your ECAS when you signed in?

I didn’t get an email sent to me I only saw it when I logged into my ECAS today. Maybe they’re a bit behind on sending the actual email? I got one from them once for my AOR which also gave me my Application number, but nothing after my Background was “Complete” and now nothing for the test either. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy I’m lined up for the online test, I just thought it a bit strange to not have received an email letting me know. The window for my test is June 4-24, but had I not logged in on my own for a week or so, I might’ve missed the notice. ‍
And, yes, I checked my Spam folder. ;)

You'll receive the email in a few days. Probably early next week. People get notification on the dashboard first and the email then follows.

Good luck!

My application has been "Test Ready" since 24th March 2021. I'm glad that it isn't rotting away in the registry.

Security and Criminality both appear to be complete. This is good!

The "due date" for knowledge (test), prohibition, language and physical presence is 28 November 2021. Coincidentally, perhaps, this is exactly 10 months from when my application went to IP status on ECAS. This is a little bit off putting but I hope they won't wait until the 11th hour before issuing a test invite.

Under the "Organization & Entities" section, I see an entry listed as "telework". I don't think this is related to me. I think this refers to the WFH scheme for IRCC employees.

My application was in-transit as of 10th March 2021. My application was received in Mississauga office registry on 19th March, 2021. Application was moved to "Test Ready" status by Mississauga office on 24th March 2021.

The officer notes have been redacted entirely, which is weird. I doubt that all 12.5 pages would contain information that is considered confidential.

I looked up S.12(1) under the privacy act and it reads as follows:

https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/p-21/section-12.html

Right of access

  • 12 (1) Subject to this Act, every individual who is a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident within the meaning of subsection 2(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Acthas a right to and shall, on request, be given access to
    • (a) any personal information about the individual contained in a personal information bank; and
    • (b) any other personal information about the individual under the control of a government institution with respect to which the individual is able to provide sufficiently specific information on the location of the information as to render it reasonably retrievable by the government institution.
Not sure which part of this law they are using to censor the information.

I'll request notes from CBSA at a later point in time and like word has it, I might see less redactions in their notes.

Good luck everyone, we should all see updates on our applications soon!

Thank you for sharing, this is helpful. Based on your understanding is it correct to assume that if the new tracker shows as Background completed than both security and criminality are likely complete?

Also when do they look at eligibility even a basic check to see if app is good to go? Seems like waste of time and inefficient process to have an application test ready and then find out there is not enough days or something. I always thought there was some sort of check done before test ready.

Likely, yes.

During AOR, they check for completeness. I guess they still check the physical presence on a superficial level based on what we've provided them. I think the deeper checks (like checking your exit/entry record with CBSA) happens at a later point in time. I'm not sure about this though.
