I thought you already had a FP request, you should be expected to send to the same location again, I am not sure what you are asking here. I remember sending it back to Sydney Processing centre.

Looking at your signature is giving me goosebumps. You are Dec 2019 applicant and still waiting for Oath ceremony?

I am still better than folks who are waiting from 2018, apparently only 65% of the 2019 applicants have gone through the full cycle and IRCC for some reason prioritized 2020 and 2021 applicants. Our average DM to oath wait time is 6-8 months whereas for 2020 and 2021 applicants its 21-28 days, :)

Does anyone know what is the average time for ceremony to change from in progress to complete after taking an oath and sending oath form?

That's terrible! and sad.

But if you are quoting those percentages from the spreadsheets, that may not reflect the actual picture as older folks may have lost interest in the forum and may not have updated it here. Just a hunch.

That statement is not correct brother.. Early 2020 applicants like me are waiting for oath since the last 6-7 months.. so .. :) anything after July or Sep -2020 or so are getting the best treatment with their applications getting done sooner than others.

Since you are requested fingerprints, BG verification expire 1 year from the date they were last taken. In your case, they may have noticed that 1 year period is up and probably put in another request for fingerprints. Expect them anytime now. Putting a request doesnt mean you will get an email immediately. It all depends on when the next batch of FP requests are processed by the Vancouver office (they are the only ones I'm aware of, that process FPs). No, its not possible to submit FP's again with the same old request. You will get a new one soon. Sorry you had to go through this, there is nothing anyone can do at this point to expedite. Just hang in there.
Can you explain why applicant can’t use old fp request letter to submit a new fp?
All information is still the same, so what is the difference?

You are right. IRCC is prioritizing in reverse order of applications date. Most of the 2021 candidates are getting oath invite in 12 months, which is IRCC SLA. 2020 candidates are at moderate pace, with lower priority compared to 2021 candidates.
2019 batch is worst affected. I know one family, who applied in Sep 2019. They received citizenship certificate just couple of weeks ago, almost at the same time of mine even if I applied after one year.

No, I haven’t received a new fingerprint request yet, my background verification was set to In progress from complete, so I’m assuming they will send me a new FP request at some point (god knows when!) so my question was if the Vancouver office sends the 2nd FP request, does the address on the letter state a Vancouver address where the RCMP report needs to be sent or is it the same CPC SYDNEY address (that’s where I sent my first FP’s report as started on the request letter).

Yea, I think the same letter can be used in my opinion to get the Fingerprints ready from an agency. However, the only reason I can think of not doing it and waiting for the new letter instead is because the letter states that you need to have your FP’s taken and report sent to IRCC within 90 days of this letter date. So in case you got your FP done at a date before the letter date IRCC can potentially create an issue.

I recently flew back to the UK, and on my way back I sat beside someone who is from Calgary like me and they had their oath today. They applied in June 2020, did their test in September 2021 like me, so hopefully I am a couple of months away!

Thanks for the information. I have about the same time line.

The application number needs to be mentioned
