September 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

Hi All,
Quick question.
I actually called IRCC and they said they will start reviewing our exam and either confirm it or reject it after the deadline provided for the exam. So for example, If you had a period to take it between 23-Nov and 14-Dec and you took your exam on 25-Nov, there will be no update and/or confirmation on your exam results before 14-Dec. Does this make sense to you? Did you guys get your approval (Completed) for online citizenship exam before the deadline assigned to take the exam or after that?

Ok. I think the VPN or Webcam monitoring issue I mentioned may have an affect after all.

My wife gave the test the next day (Dec 18th) after me and passed. I had ofcourse disabled VPN for her test.

Now, her status is shown as COMPLETED on the tracker (Dec 20th), while mine isn't.

I wouldn't worry about it (as yet). My wife did the test a half hour after I did mine. Neither of us had any issues with the test. However, her test was shown COMPLETED the very next day, but my test took 2 weeks to be shown as COMPLETED - and that too only after I sent an email to the address where the test invite came from asking if everything was ok.

It's as random as it gets.

haha...I wish we had Dislike button on this forum. Also looking at your comment, I think you should practice what your profile name suggests.

Very funny! I appreciated all the help I got from this forum, and I didn't think anyone owed me any answers if I didn't get what I wanted. What makes you think you, or your friend here, should be the exception? Are you VIPs who can demand services from here? or did you pay anyone who has to answer your questions?

Was off the forum for a while, just providing a quick update. Finally attended the oath ceremony on November 17th and got the citizenship certificate earlier this month. I started the process to change my name so waiting for this to be complete to update the certificate before applying for the passport. Hope all those applicant for September 2020 who haven't completed the process would do so very soon. All the best and happy holidays.

Citizenship application Date 09 Sept 2020
Test Done June 28 2021
Decision Made Sep 29 2021
Oath Done Dec-09 2021
Certificate received Dec 23 2021
Apply for passport IN person at Mississauga office Walk In on Dec 24 2021
passport will be mailed to my home address on Jan 12 2022.
