September 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

For my passport submission, I got an update that they received my document and that they would be added to my file. It was not an automated response and came about 5 days after my webform submission.

I initially submitted by replying to the original email request. Then I used the webform to inquire if they received the copies after about a week or so. When I got a response that they had not received them, I send another webform with the copies and got a response that they have received them and will add it to my file.

Call center / central team never checks with local office and gives us response. Even for urgent request they dont check back with them and give us response instead they only forward the request to local office if they approve. central team dont have access to the local office email boxes.
So sending multiple emails and webforms are going to slow us down due to their work getting increased.

Its all done guys! I'm finally a Canadian Citizen . I have requested expedited processing for citizenship certificate so that I can apply for the federal job for which UP was approved (and I also have a trip coming up soon).

I have signed and submitted the confirmation of oath form (signed electronically).

I just got an update on August 22nd. My ceremony is scheduled for January 13, 2022. Just few days after I come back from visiting my parents in France, so I'm happy I don't have to change anything for this trip.

Can you please share how you requested for expedited processing and delivery of your citizenship certificate as I have a trip coming soon as well by Sept 10th ?

You need to tell the IRCC officer at the ceremony. I told him that I need the citizenship certificate for 2 things - To apply for the job for which UP was approved AND I have a trip coming up on August 31st. He told me that since my urgent processing is already approved, the delivery of citizenship certificate will be expedited as long as he received the confirmation of oath form on time.
