AOR 29 September

When I submitted my application, I put my wife as a non-accompanying spouse because adding her to the application would have brought my CRS below the threshold and I would not have received an ITA.

However, it was announced on 27 October 2020 that English/French bilingual applicants will now get 50 additional points instead of 30. Because of that, now my CRS would be above the threshold even after adding my wife to my application as an accompanying spouse. Since I have already submitted my application and received the AOR, I cannot make any changes in my application myself. Is there any possibility to change my wife's status from non-accompanying to accompanying spouse in my current application?

The reason I am in doubt is because I don't know if the 50 points thing would apply to me now, since it has come into effect after I have already received my COPR on my 486 points.

Hey guys!

I got the request for payment of RPRF today as I had not paid it during the e-APR submission. The message in the letter goes something like 'In order to continue to process your application, we need the following from you' and RPRF was mentioned underneath.
There was a mentioned deadline of 7 days but I'm already through with the payment and uploaded the Receipt in the document checklist page.
@legalfalcon I was wondering if you had any idea about what's going on with my application right now and what's left after RPRF is complete? It'd be great if you could shed some light on this for me, please.
'Review of additional document' said'We need this document from you.......' at the time of payment and about after 2 hours it says 'Not Applicable'

This also happened to me !! We had the request for rprf yesterday... paid right away and the later on showed not applicable ...

My Biometrics changed to accepted(done during WP) 28 Oct 2020
Wife requested to undertake Biometrics through BIL. No calls yet from agent where to go.
Medicals been processed.
Got letter to provide RCMP PCC with fingerprints.

Question:
1. Looking at Biometrics SCO, all are closed in Canada except for POE at airport. Do we get a call from agent to pick the site as it looks closed to websurfers to find a spot within Canada
2. Anyone knows how to proceed with RCMP in Downtown Toronto...unable to locate the address.

Reply will be appreciated.

Does anyone have any valuable information regarding the dates when VACs in India will start taking appointments for biometrics?

@Aman K

Good to know!

I am on the same boat. FSW-O with AOR date of Sep 18, 2020 and received BIL with medical pass yesterday, Oct 27, 2020.

Currently, I am monitoring the VFS Global India website to check on their opening status in order to go ahead with biometrics. Do you know of any other options to give biometrics apart from VFS?
I hear ppl suggesting this can be done in countries like UAE where Canada VACs are open and it is a much feasible travel option becz of the shorter flight duration.. or else, jst wait until things start moving in India itself

I have applied for PR as an inland FSW. In my application, they asked for my PhD degree (from McGill). At that time, I did not have the degree due to Covid as McGill was closed and the convocation was canceled. I got a letter from McGill saying that I had graduated and that the degree was awarded. I uploaded this letter and explained, in detail, that it was covid's fault. Now I have the degree in my hand, how do I uploaded it to my file? Thank you so much for your help!

The RPRF is requested, if not paid before, when the application reaches the eligibility. In most cases the eligibility is either recommended passed or may even have been passed.

To know the exact status of your application, you will have to either send a webform or request your GCMS notes. But the RPRF surely indicates that your application has reached eligibility. Whether it has passed eligibility or still need to be reviewed by an officer, will only be know by webform or GCMS.
Thank you very much.!
Since my AOR was only on 11th September, it's most likely that my application has just reached the eligibility stage and under review. I think I'll wait for a while before raising a webform.
I have a question on the GCMS notes. Since it takes more than a month to receive, the status of the GCMS notes would be as of which day? the day it was ordered or the day it was responded by an officer or the day the applicant receives it?

@legalfalcon can you please advice
You need to inform only when there's a change in your contact information or a change in any other aspects that would affect your CRS score. Since you've already submitted your application with all the documents that helped you get your CRS score, change of jobs does not 'need' to be reported. But it's better to inform them because if and when IRCC contacts your employer, they won't be surprised to find out that you don't work with them anymore.

The GCMS notes are processed and released pursuant to the Access to Information Act or the Privacy Act and as per law. IRCC is obligated to release them within 30 days.

All GCMS notes will have a date of generation listed at the bottom of each page. The GCMS notes are generated a few days after the request is filed and it is as on this date how your application looked like is captured in the GCMS notes.
