Guys I'm going to visit U.S for a day next week and will return. What do you guys think?

I applied for PR+OWP inland and Study visa outland. None of them are approved yet.

I'm from a visa exempt country which means I can ask for a visitor visa at the border. I don't have to apply online.

I'm just curious if they border officer will let me in if I explain that I visited U.S just for biometrics.

As long as you explain properly, tell them the truth and have proof it shouldn’t be a problem! There is nothing keeping you in Canada while they process your application, but you have to meet all the requirement to return.

But inland applications don’t need biometrics!

Why were some June OWP's delayed?

Not sure. Some of them just had to wait 5 months for their owp because cic was so swamped. Mine was returned and I had to resubmit it in September. So now I’m hoping it moves along fast

They probably need biometrics for the separate study visa.

I have heard people say that the US doesn't like people traveling just to get biometrics but your mileage may vary. If OP is visa exempt and can travel to and from the US, it might not be a problem at all, though.

I just logged in to check GCKEY and the status of my OWP had changed to ‘Application/Profile Updated’ but after clicking on it and returning it is now showing ‘Submitted’ again... I’m hoping this shows some progress!

Ghost update! Hopefully we'll start seeing something soon! It's been a bit since mine and I haven't gotten anything lol. Weirdly, not expecting anything until med request, mostly just antsy about OWP!! But it's interesting that you got it too.

I think that when that happened to @Manny777 two days later the OWP showed approved. All the best folks.
