Not sure.. I changed my address from mississauga to Hamilton hope that does not affect my oath ceremony timelines

I am thinking of renewing my PR card and keeping it just incase of travels, would that affect the citizenship process in any way ?
You can renew. I did renew it while current citizenship progresses. No issues in getting test invite etc. It doesnt affect.
Hopefully you get your oath before you get your PR card.

I hope too...not sure why the delay I don't think the applications are complicated.

PR card renewal application should not affect your citizenship application.

Give this page a read.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...ing/sending-applications-changes-address.html

This page talks about the procedures for file transfers.
I dont know how officer can decide on legitimate or not ;)
"There may be instances where an officer believes that a change of address is not legitimate. Clients may change their address as a result of a perceived leniency in decision-making or quicker processing times at another office. "
If any thing is pending they do not transfer the files to the new local office . @rajkamalmohanram can tell u more.
" In general, ensure that nothing is pending before transferring the file. For example, if the client has passed the citizenship test, ensure that the decision is made and the results entered into GCMS before transferring the file. If fingerprints have been sent to the RCMP, await results from the RCMP before transferring the file. "

I've noticed that there's a discrepancy between what my ECAS states and what the new immigration tracker states in terms of current status - my ECAS page still shows my old test date from March 2020 and nothing afterwards, whilst my new tracker shows the test as "Complete". Is this normal?

They are not in sync for lot of people.
My new test never showed up in old ecas and for few the new test shows up. So dont worry about it.
Trust just the new tracker which is up to date and gets updated on each sections accurately as far as we know till now.

I don't think the visa officers themselves have an idea of which tracker they updating.. :) My old Ecas shows DM and my new tracker says In Progress....

The new status dashboard doesn't have a DM status so it isn't an issue. As long as you see DM on ECAS, you're good. The new dashboard will never show "Decision Made".

Hi All,

It seems we have got someone very helpful in CIC now :) My wife got invitation for test today. This is what the status says on the new tracker:

Take the citizenship test
Citizenship test

Waiting on you
You have been scheduled to take the citizenship test online. Read the invitation you will receive carefully.
@rajkamalmohanram Can you or someone else please suggest when can we expect to receive formal invitation for test?

Thanks a ton all guys!
