Hello does anyone know how long it takes for your citizenship certificate to arrive after the oath ceremony? Also I'm in the US and wonders if I can apply for my passport from the US if I have my citizenship certificate with me ? Thanks !

Well, i got my background verification from completed change back to in process today, the rest of everything except the oath change from in process to completed. Most likely they gonna request me to submit finger print again right?

I was supposed to have an interview on May 31st as per the new online portal but never received an email. I called the call centre and they mentioned it had been rescheduled to June 7th. No email/notifications were received. I called the call centre yesterday and they mentioned that they didn't see any interview scheduled for me except for the cancelled one. In the meantime my spouse's application has been updated to decision made. I was advised to just wait for an update.

Oh my! WHat's wrong with the Mississauga office? Yesterday my tracker showed scheduled for an interview for today, but I also didn't receive any email. I've waited the whole day, but nobody called. I emailed the Mississauga office but no reply. In fact, my husband had his interview in April. I requested GCME notes, and they sent me the report on June 17th, and on June 18th, they updated all the checks completed, Oath not started. And then such a surprise with the interview. I am sooo tired and angry of waiting for almost 2 years. It is so unfair. We paid money, and we should get the service on time.

Congrats! Am I reading the spreadsheet right - Did it really take 4 months between the time you took your test and the time that the decision was made? Yowza!

It can take any time between 1 week to 4 weeks. Yes you can apply for a passport from the USA

Yeah. My visa office was Winnipeg. They were in complete lockdown in between. At least I assume that as reason for delay

We received 3 of our 4 citizenship certificates on Tuesday (15 Jun, a week after the oath ceremony); hoping my son's certificate shows up soon - has anyone else experienced this?

We have now been able to locate the last citizenship certificate; we moved earlier this year, and 3 certificates were delivered to our old address and the 4th was delivered to a different unit at our new address. If you have recently moved, it may be worth checking at your old address if you don't see your certificate in the mail by 10 days after your oath ceremony (ours were delivered exactly a week after).

The invitation to an interview with a Citizenship Official and verification of identity/documents that was
scheduled virtually via Microsoft Teams on 30 June 2021 is no longer required at this point
and processing of your application will proceed.

Anyone on the same boat. Not sure what's going on..
The email was sent directly from the officer, not sure if I should respond and ask for clarification.

*New checker not updated yet. Also, I find it interesting that this kind of email is always sent on Sunday.

This has been happening for 3 weeks now. The interview over MS teams with IRCC officials is being done away with, I think. No need to sweat.

Thanks for replying. Do you mean it's no longer being conducted? I wonder how long this will take to next step is if this means going directly to DM and oath.

Depends. 2019 applicants might not have to wait that long. There are no established timelines. You can check the 2019 spreadsheet in my signature to get an idea.
