I don't suggest you to try. The instruction said iPad and Surface Pro can't be used for the test. Even though it might work but why risk it?
The message says not to use Mobile phone or Chrome browser on an Apple iPad or Surface pro.
It does does not say anything that you cannot use Safari on an Apple iPad.

Did anyone get Decision made after second round of fingerprints? CIC Vancouver confirmed that they received my fingerprints on March 9th.
Did the fingerprint request come exactly 365 days after you did your first fingerprints? I did my fingerprints on March 17, 2020 and tomorrow it will be a year. I am not sure if I will receive a fingerprint request tomorrow or will they take time.

Hi! I received the consent form as well as the Supplementary evidence form. I'd suggest keep calling the phone number. If you've emailed them, that's good too. If you don't hear back I'd suggest keep ALL your documents ready (originals) that's part of the Citizenship checklist.

Hope this helps.

Bb.
I got my DM today. Yay!!!!

Yes should be ok. But in case you get an exam invite, you have to take the exam while being in Canada.

Wrote my online exam on January 25, 2021 and passed (20/20). IRCC confirms that I have passed the test but nothing since then. No fingerprints requested throughout the process. Mississauga office.
Anyone else in the same boat?

Got the Test Invites today for self and wife.
(Mississauga office)

We are in US right now and I plan to drive to Canada to write the citizenship test.
Does someone know if we can plan to stay in Canada for only 1 night (just to write the tests from Hotel) and drive back to US?
Is that even possible with the COVID restrictions in place?

Will Canada allow us to leave after 1 day of hotel stay (without completing the 10/13 day quarantine)?
Is US allowing re-entry for VISA workers?

Any guidance or experience that someone can share?

It seems pretty complicated... how about to make it easy, take your laptop, connect to internet (through a hotspot on your phone) and drive to Canada/US border and do it there? Because technically, you are in Canada then.

I wish thats allowed and hope that they have some such area where we can complete the test while being in Canada but not really having entered Canada.

I remember someone else was also asking about this option, if we can fly to Canada, write the test from Airport lounge and take the return flight and thus escape the quarantine - trying to find that question too to see if someone answered that satisfactorily or better yet if someone has taken that option.

Caution, If you're taking the test in a public place, you need to be in a quiet room and no other person is allowed to be around you during the test as per the guidelines.

True - thats another challenge in transit zones. Hence I was leaning more towards driving into Canada, staying in a hotel for a night, complete the test and get back to US (via land only).

Unsure if Canada will allow a less than mandatory quarantine stay
And if US is okay accepting us back on a worker's VISA.

These "if"s are hurting my head now :)
