I really don't understand as to why you need to be in Canada to take a virtual test. Do they expect everyone who's applied to be in Canada this entire time, even though this whole process has been heavily delayed and people's lives change. Also, if you have got this far in your application process, it's hardly like you've not dedicated a lot of time to living/working in Canada etc.

They are just trying to make it same as in-person process irrelevant of whether its online or not, irrelevant of whether there is pandemic or not.
Well, at least we have online test and oath now, instead of just stopping the processing and waiting for in-person tests/oaths. So not a bad deal but certainly a difficult deal for out of country residents. It will be a problem for me too as i moving out next year but what to do. At least things are moving slowly.

Sorry, I shouldn't have replied to you. You were asking someone else but I think my situation proves that it is completely possible to get a test invite in the email and still have ECAS say "in process."
@ccursor Congratulations ! Did they send you an email with official test score ? If so how long after you wrote the test ? Thanks !

Wow. That itself takes 30 days to get in Ontario in normal times....not sure how long that would take in COVID times!
Is this a routine request? (“Provincial/Territorial personal health claim summary for each province/territory you have resided in”)

Does there seem to be any rhyme or reason as to who is getting selected? My test was cancelled on March 12th and I haven't heard anything since. I'm about to have to renew my PR card as it expires next September and I'd ideally like to skip that if I could.

(I know, it's probably random and I'm lucky to have PR, etc etc. Just frustrating to see people who applied after me getting the test invite before me, fully understanding that people have been waiting well over a year for their test invite. I now share in their frustration.)

If you are lucky then you would get test invite in few days/weeks and nowadays it seems that they adjudicate quickly after the test. if that happens then everything will be over in few weeks.
So you can wait till Apr-May and see if you need to renew the card.

Any Calgary applicant who wrote the online citizenship test ? How long does it take from test to interview or decision made ?

Hi guys, I've got a question regarding the additional documents that IRCC might ask you to provide before/after the online test:

1. For the passport, from what I have read, they want all pages (even blank ones) of the passport. So , can I scan all 50 pages of my passport with my phone or should I go to the nearest print shop and tell them to scan all pages and email them to me ?
If I scan it by phone , it won't look scan-perfect of course ,as you might be able to see the surrounding.

2. For the provincial health claim summary , I have lived in Alberta on a work permit during before my PR time , it seems like the only way to request an Alberta health claim summary is by snailmail ? You cannot submit an online application ? Has anyone gotten one ?
The ontario one is online I think ?
(Also , I have actually never made any health claim in either AB or ON , despite having held health-cards from both those provinces , will this matter at all ?)

Hi, are there many Sep 2019 applicants receiving online test invitations? My application date is Sep 06, 2019, and it has been in-process since Jan 13, 2020. I've had no word from IRCC on my application since then. Just wondering if there are a substantial number of Sep 2019 applicants already receiving online test invitations? Or any indications of when these are expected to start flowing? The wait is now getting excruciating, especially as I have to plan travel overseas and plan to be out of the country for a few months. Would hate to have the online test invitation arrive when I'm outside the country - after the long wait. Thanks.

Update :

Admin please update.

Received invitation for online test on Dec 11 for my wife and I.

Hope you all stay safe and well during this time and enjoying happy holidays with the loved ones.

Back in the middle of November, I received a notice to the applicant (CIT 0520) email requesting to provide supplementary evidence. Basically, the officer requested to provide a colour photocopy of every page of the passports held during the eligible period.

There was never communication prior to this request whether for fingerprints request, an interview, or a test appointment.

Has any of you ladies and gentlemen received such a request post-AOR and before any of the typical steps?
