how many days it takes to get fingerprint received by CIC? will CIC will update online that we received fingerprints or what? My agency submitted fingerprint copy to RCMP on Jan 07th and advise me to contact CIC after 2 weeks...Any idea?

CIC do not update ECAS online when they receive the prints, our files shows when the request for additional information was made but not confirmed when received. Did not impact our application moving through the process and now at DM. Usually about 2 weeks for standard FP processing, if you want to confirm you can submit a question using the online web form.

Got Finger Print requested on January 18th, submitted on January 20th

My agency said that it takes around 3 business day for RCMP process the finger print if you do not have any criminal records. Then they will mail it to Vancouver through regular mail from Ottawa to Vancouver, so it takes around 1.5-3 weeks to be delivered in Vancouver.

After 3 weeks, if you do not hear anything from CIC, please contact them. They should update ECAS after processing the finger print thou.

Application submitted September 13. Test for invitation received today Jan 21 in Edmonton. Family of 3. Application sent from Uk. Thank you all for your update. I wish myself luck in the test. Can anyone provide me the best links to practice. I was given 3 weeks notice

Yes, Both ECAS and email have 18th January. Although ECAS got updated a day later.
