I think it is the best thing you can do. Prepare another package and send it as soon as possible. I suggest you add a clarification cover letter on the top of your documents and explain the reason why you are sending your package for the second time.

You mean a complete full application? or just the missing ID'?
And what is the average timeline for the application to be returned?
I just don't wanna waste + 2 months to have my app return...

I think sending new application is much better than sending a single ID because if they already sent your physical application to another section (another building or floor...) then they can't easily add your new document to your previous application before AOR process.
For your second question, it depends, in some cases they return incomplete applications very fast and in some cased they do it after 70 days or even later. You can see returned application in spreadsheet.
