Hello Friends I have a question regarding the RPRF Fees. Let me post my timeline first.

CategoryCEC Inland
AOR29-Sep-19
MEP25-Oct-19
PPR03-Mar-19
Passport Mailed to CPC Ottawa03-Mar-19
Passport Received by CPC Pttawa05-Mar-19
Application approved by CPC Ottawa11-Mar-19
Passport Dispatched by CPC Ottawa11-Mar-19
Passports Received back with COPR forms12-Mar-19
Request submitted on IRCC helpline for inland interview13-Mar-19
Confirmation mail from Etobicoke office with interview appointment14-Mar-19
Date of landing interview26-Mar-19

When I got the landing interview mail today it mentions the below text :
-----------------------
Right of Permanent Resident Fee (RPRF) Payment
 The Right of Permanent Resident Fee is $490.00. Please note that only Convention refugees do not have to pay this fee.
 We do not accept payments at our office. Please make your payment online at https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/welcome.do
 If you have not already paid the fee, please ensure you do so at least 72 hours prior to the interview.
 Please bring your payment receipt to the interview. We will need to confirm your fee payment to finalize your application.
----------------------------

I have already paid a fees of $ 2230 CAD for myself and my spouse + 1 Child when i submitted my application. I have the receipt as well but the receipt does not mention "RPRF"anywhere. Is this fee different from the one I have already paid ? Can anyone who is aware kindly advise.

Thanks and best of luck for those still in the process ...!!!
It's not different. Take receipt of paid fees and they'll be again to look it up. likely generic email
Also see below re your landing interview. Check IRCC twitter. they'll likely email you anyways.

We’re cancelling all in-person permanent resident landing appointments until April 13, 2020. If you had a landing appointment already booked, it will be held by telephone at a new date.

Hello!

I’ll give you my point of view from my experience, first time I applied for a work permit was in a POE but I paid Online in advance before traveling to Canada, I didn’t know exactly how the process was going to be, so I paid the fees and when I landed, I handed my documentation and my prove of payment. They took more time tracking the payment than processing my work permit, at the end, the officer suggested me to make the payment there again, and to ask for a reimbursement of the one I paid in advance. I did exactly as he told me and around 10 days later I got my money back.

It may be a common template as another user said, that‘s very possible, but if you don’t want to risk it, you could pay it “again” and ask it back after everything goes as expected on your landing interview ;)

Now, regarding your interview date, by any chance did you get a cancellation warning or something for the virus thing? I’m in Canada and I applied for a BOWP, I had an appointment for tomorrow March 15th to go to a biometrics collection point and I just got a cancellation email...

I have a deadline and of course it will be met and passed by the time I can reschedule the appointment, I guess they would extend the deadlines and consider this worldwide matter...

Good luck to you and I hope soon everything gets solved and you can come to Canada as planned!
all in person interviews/biometrics canceled and will be rescheduled re coronavirus

Thanks for the details. I have not yet got any cancellation e-mail but I guess I will get one soon. I see the information on the website now as per link provided by CTV92.

Received my PPR last Friday. Posting my timeline below:

Type: Inland PNP (BC PNP Tech Pilot)
AOR: September 25, 2019
Medical exams passed: October 17, 2019
Email requesting the passport: March 13, 2020 (yeah, on a Friday 13!)

Between the approval of medical exams and PPR, I had not received any ghost update. I also didn't call them or requested any notes of my process - and I have no idea what was the Visa office.

congrats!!
happy for you. Do they still issue a passport request even though you are already inside the country? I ask because I am kinda in the same boat.

Yes, that happened with another friend of mine who applied through BC PNP as well. After receiving the passport back from Ottawa (people are saying it's taking around 10 days), we need to do the landing (interview or flagpole). Since the new interviews are suspended until April 13, it seems the best option is to go to the USA border.

Yes, it is - nothing has changed there so far:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Latest update:
Review of medical results - October 17, 2019:You passed the medical exam.
Make sure you read your messages and take action when we ask you to. This will help move the application process along.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My friend also said that after sending his passport, after 10 days the status of his application changed directly to "A final decision has been made." and the last update was "Your application was approved.".

Thanks for this Info. I think Medical exams passed: Dec 17, 2019 has removed from my account because my medical is expired today.

Hey

Sharing My landing Experience
CEC Inland - Toronto

I did My landing on Saturday Morning, 14th March at Lansdowne (thousand Island Bridge crossing).

Didn't have any issues on both sides of the Border (US and Canada) while doing Flagpole
Inside the border office, my file processing was done in 10 minutes
No questions asked.
No additional documents, other than COPR and Passport.

Thanks
