Good news!
My BG check has finally changed from "Your application is in progress" to "We are processing your background check".
Is this IP2?
What is checked in this stage?
How long does this check take?
Here are my details below:
FSW-Outland
AOR: Sept 28th
MEP passed & BIL received: Oct 9th
BIL completed: Oct 11th
IP1: Oct 21st
IP2, IP1 that is thing of a past now. If you really want to know actual status of your application order GCMS notes or contact CIC through webform or call them. Background check compromises of criminality check, checking your education and work. And once that is passed your security will start...there is no definite answer for that. Sometimes it takes few days sometime weeks.

Per my observation - Edmonton office processes applications in batches. Mostly first week of the month. Nov 4, Dec 4, Jan 6 were the last 3 dates when most Edmonton CEC folks got their PPR. My updates are very similar to yours. i had called last week.

Urgent Help,

In the USA, I was hired on campus as a Graduate Assistant for Electrical engineering, BUT my jobs and responsibilities were more of installing, operating, repairings and maintaining computers, photocopiers and printers for the department because they know I have the skills.
In fact, I did most of installing, repairing and maintaining electronics stuff like computers and photocopiers and printers for the department of engineering for 2 years (Part-time, 20hrs/wk)

My question is can I claim the NOC 2242 ?
2242 – Electronic service technicians (household and business equipment)
