Does anyone know if my spouse can travel to Canada via New York, 5 hour connection at the airport(EWR) with COPR and visa stamp on a Venezuelan passport?

For Canada she can come from any airport it's fine but for US check if her passport needs a transit visa or not? As US does not allow any transit traveler who's passport needs a visa or transit visa to board the plane heading to any US airport without the proper visa even if she has a Canadian visa this is what I know.

Today marks a year after my application was received. The status now says "Your application is taking us longer than usual to process".

What do you guys think I should do now? And why do you think it is taking so much time? I am yet to do biometrics (no request yet) while I received pre-arrival letter in June. This is getting a bit stressful now.

Sorry to hear my friend. I only received confirmation today that my PR is finalized (by sending webform inquiry) It has taken me 13 months on the mark... If things ain't moving, request notes or try to take it up with your MP (I did neither btw, I just waited it out) Hang in there, good luck!

I am in the same position as you now , our VO is Mexico and it’s known to be slow . I’m going to wait a little and send a web form asking for update

It is what it is I suppose , they are not accountable for anything . 4 sets of notes and not one thing has changed from April 2019 lol. I re ordered notes to see what the hold up is , because if they have concerns you would think that they would ask right ? But nope nothing since April . We are 100% fine with an interview too not a worry about that but nope our application sits in a pile waiting for someone to remember us . Our turn is coming soon I feel it

Then you count how many days it took to send and receive your passport and when you can travel! I will awaiting your response.

So far I'm still waiting for the passport I sent it on August 27 and I paid just 20 dollars, make sure to paid this in the bank cuz you can't pay in the offices, I'll let you know when I get the passport, they told me that is going to take from 2 weeks to three weeks
