Attended oath ceremony yesterday. Application status is 'Complete' this morning. Thanks to everyone on this forum for being so helpful by sharing their information and knowledge during this journey. Special thanks to mooer for his selfless service. Wish everyone a speedy completion of this citizenship journey.
Congrats! And, yes, @mooer has done an outstanding job for all of us. It required a significant amount of time and dedication to keep track of us Sept applicants :-) Congrats to those that have completed their journey.... for those close to the finish line, best wishes and enjoy your ceremony... and for those still waiting, try to have patience (I know how hard that can be for some..I am NOT a patient person :)) your turn will come soon!

Good luck to @Lee587 who is taking their Oath on Monday, Canada Day! That will be very special indeed :D

It is in the Mississauga office- confirmed :)
I hope you will be lucky and you move to next step very soon.
Anyway, could you please advise how could you convince CIC officer to reveal this information? As I understood that they don’t accept to discuss anything if the file is less than 12 months since being received. And do you recommend any special time, or way of question to convince the officer to reveal info about the file?

Thank you and best of luck

You can call the helpline and even if u r under 12 months they will tell u where ur file is. U donr need special request for that

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Do you think getting the GCMS notes at this stage (most of us submitted the file 10 months ago) would help in knowing the current stage of the application and the next steps? and maybe helping in assessing the remaining time of this journey?

And do you recommend a certain vendor of the GCMS notes?

Best of luck for everyone!

Thank you for your helpful reply.

So, does the application move after being received at the case processing center in Sidney to another center (Mississauga in the case of our fellow) for reviewing, and then move to another one (Scarborough in the case of our fellow) to arrange test and interview?

Thank you.

Normally it moves to just one center. But in our fellows case and some more mississauga applicants got transferred to Scarborough as mississauga has backlogs so to manage the workload they transferred out some cases. Else its just one centre who does all those things

Congrats Johankim ...
did they ask you to bring your passport?

Ive just submitted my letter of unavailability. We leave Saskatoon on July 17th, only booked flights at the weekend, I held out as long as I could waiting for our ceremony date. However it seems we will have to go home and return to take the oath at a later date. Something that I didn't want to have to do, but I couldn't wait any longer.
