Hi,

I have couple of question on the document checklist on the oath invitation.

1) Carry all original documents that you submitted with your citizenship application - immigration record of landing (IMM1000) or confirmation of permanent residence (IMM5292 or IMM5688

Not sure what these documents are.

2) permanent resident cards, current and expired (if you have a landing document and a permanent resident card, you must get both of them)

Is that the landing paper ?
Yeah, COPR (confirmation of permanent residence).

Has your ecas been updated with the details of the oath invite on April 30 or not yet?
And where will your oath ceremony take place?

Please supply all missing details and I'll get you added - thanks!

Please consider those of us still waiting for the test!!!
Oh goodness....BC seems SO very slow for everything!! It is incredible how different the timeline can be for folks living in different parts of the country! When we were waiting for our PR, it was taking a very looonnngggg time, so we applied for GSMC notes and found that a "request for passport" had been issued months before, but we had never received the request. It appeared that the action on the file had never been completed (stalled somewhere.....maybe the Processing Agent had gone off unexpectedly??). Our MP made an inquiry on our behalf and very soon we had the family sponsorship completed. If things are taking longer than normal for your geographic area, it never hurts to request notes. Usually they don't show anything unusual, but ours did....it's human beings behind all the processing and sometimes things can go wrong. Mostly it's just slow bureaucracy, but it never hurts to make the inquiry (request notes). Good luck to all...praying for us all to be citizens soon!!

Hi everyone,

Finally received "Notice to Appear" email for citizenship test on May 1, 2019. The test date is May 16, 2019. Admin, can you please update?

Just wondering if someone could suggest any online links to some mock tests they used to prepare for the test? I am currently reading the Discover Canada book for preparation.

Also, I don't see any update regarding the test invite / test date on the ECAS system online. Its still shows that its in process.

Thanks,
Abhinav

You can take mock tests at 1) http://www.citizenshipcounts.ca/quiz and 2) http://www.yourlibrary.ca/citizenship/.

Today I took Oath for Canadian Citizen in Montreal. It was a well organized event. There were 350 Candidates.

It started at 9:00am and got over by 11:15am.

Most like will be applying for passport on Monday if ecas is updated.

Please update the SS.

Fantastic! Congrats!

Just one question - did you feel like they had tried to get the country of origin uniformly distributed in the ceremony? Someone else said the judge said people from 61 countries were taking the oath that day.
