I have Oath ceremony next week , But My COPR is not with me . Is it ok ?
I remembered my CoPR has taken by officer at Border security during stamping for PR .
Please advice . Thank you .

Border agents are not supposed to take it from you. They are supposed to return it to you after stamping.

It is essential for later. You are required to show it when you apply for certain benefits (I guess after retirement). A relative of mine said that you will take your CoPR to your grave. Means you will need it quite a bit later. I am not sure if there is a procedure to obtain a copy if you lose it or if it's stolen.

I have just passed my citizenship test yesterday.

Here's my timeline:

Application Sent: Sep 15, 2018
Application Received: Sep 20, 2018
AOR: Dec 18, 2018
Started Processing: Jan 8, 2019
Test Letter Invite: Jun 12,2019
Test /Interview Date: Jul 3, 2019
Total number of days: 1,225
Location: Surrey, BC
Oath Invite: N/A (the immigration officer said three months after the test date)

Thank you all for posting your experience. It helped me a lot with my application.
My test was at the same location at 0832 on 3rd as well.

You can obtain a copy of your landed papers. Search on Cic website. Last time I checked, it took “6 months” to get a copy like that .

Wondering why Peel region applicant have to wait so long?
I am from Brampton, applied on August 31 2018, Application showing as "in progress" since Nov 2018. Its soon gonna be a year now.
