Hi,
FP Request Jan 10th, submitted Jan 11th, can you please update.
Also has anyone got a date for their test after doing FP yet?
Updated - My results were sent by RCMP on Jan 10th to Vancouver office. I enquired via webform and they still have not received them (allegedly). So frustrating!

Hello All,

Got Test invitation this morning
Test Date: February 27. Please update

Cheers.
Updated - good luck!

It certainly seem that, looking at the sheet, Montreal and Calgary peeps are being processed super fast!!

Good evening,

I have a question.

What all documents do I need to take during the citizenship exam.

This is what I’m carrying.

1) Two pieces of ID, Drivers License and QC health card. Both documents have my picture and date of birth. Is the address a matter of concern ? Asking because I’m still using Alberta Drivers license as I moved to Montreal 3 months ago, but my QC health card has Montreal (present) address. With the package I sent to Sydney Cic, it had my Alberta license as ID.
2) Original CELPIP certificate.
3) Home country passport old and new.
4) PR CARD
4) invitation letter.

Let me know if I’m missing anything.

Thanks,

I called cic today, im requesting for my test and oath ceremony on the same day as my husband works in BC and we are in Saskatoon. They told me to send to a letter to my local cic requesting this with proof for my reasoning.
I also asked for an update on my file, she told me she could see I completed my FP on Jan 11 but no result had been input yet, she also told me is not uncommon for the process to take up to or more than 12 months.. I really hope we are not waiting that long???

Hello Senior Forum Members, I have a question on which I need help.

I and my spouse applied for citizenship together as a family application. We have recieved AOR and are waiting for test invite.

My spouse has now decided to not take Canadian citizenship (as it requires losing Indian citizenship). I understand that the test invite will be received by both together, pls. advise how and at which point should we withdraw spouse's application without impacting my application. Is a refund possible.

You can request withdrawal anytime during in process stage. Thats what my understanding is, and as for fee once they start processing ur application the only fee they will refund is $100 right of citizenship fee rest is non refundable

Go through below link this will ans ur questions

Thanks. I have gone through this link and other links on the CIC website and also all the blogs. The issue is that we do not want to withdraw our application. My understanding is that Family application is considered as ONE application ( I have read in some post that if one spouse failed the test other was asked to hold on ceremony). We want to withdraw only one application from our Family application and I am scared about impacting the other application. I could not find it answered anywhere and hence requesting help.

a) should my spouse email them right now about intent to withdraw application - can it impact my application i.e. will they cancel the whole thing and ask me to apply afresh
b) should I proceed to test; and attend ceremony (and spouse just does not appear for test and does not communicate anything) - will I be allowed to do that alone as it is a family application
c) should I proceed to test; and carry a letter about intent to withdraw from spouse
Any other option possible.

Well that is for someone with exact case to answer. I hope some seniors can shed light on it as i do not have knowledge of this particular scenario. But will suggest you talk to call centre guyz and see if they have any specific guidance

you can ask your wife to send her application withdraw request incase you dont want full application to be withdrawn.

Thanks. I am afraid that may impact my application. Can I just proceed to test; and attend ceremony (and spouse just does not appear for test and does not communicate anything) - will that be allowed or do you see any possible issue with this approach. Thanks again.

Well that certainly will pose issues as post test u meet citizenship officer who will raise this point with u as to why ur wife did not accompany u.you will not be allowed oath (infact i think it will not change to decision made) until ur wife application is either withdrawn or go along witb u
