Subject line: URGE CPC-OTTAWA VO TO CLEAR RR BACKLOGS
To: Standing Comittee on Citizenship & Immigration - Canada house of commons
Dear all,
I am seeking your assistance in urging CPC-Ottawa visa office to start clearing the backlogs of files that are under review required (RR) by a senior officer.
Some files haven't been touched for almost a year now, meanwhile Ottawa VO is issuing PPRs for those who applied during the first quarter of 2019.
The wait is emotionally draining, and many people need to know the final decision whether it is an approval or rejection so they can plan for the next phase of their life.
People's lives are on pause while waiting for the processing of their immigration files. We have job to leave in a proper state as we need to notify our employers some countries require a 2 months notification prior to resignation.
We also have kids school calendars to adjust our travel plans to in case our visa is approved.
Some people's medical validity is so near while their files are parked for review required until no one knows.
This is emotionally & psychologically draining, please urge Ottawa vo to start clearing at their RR files before working on fresh applications.

Find it ridiculous that it's last come, first served.
If anyone is interested in this we can all participate to help each other.
If you are afraid that it may backfire on the processing of your application you can keep waiting.
is this of any use? can i complain about the discrimination that’s happening for many applicants that end up in comprehensive SS and urge them to resolve such cases asap?CIMM@parl.gc.ca (immigration committee)

Hi ,i been a silent follower of this thread for few months. My status says
Eligibility: review required
Background check: processing background check.
My application is kind of stuck somewhere. ordered a gcms note and came to know that they have some concerns with my job experience back home. So i resubmitted an updated reference letter from my employer. my application is at Sydney NS. heard that they are slow in processing. I got married post AOR. Now I am submitting my spouse documents. wondering if anyone in my same boat. this waiting is really stressful
I am also stuck with officer! What can we do!Yes! Mine is being processed by CB01126.
I called yesterday, I was told my file is waiting to be reviewed by an officer. That’s it! It is still stuck at eligibility. However, criminality was started as well. I don’t know what is going on
My file is in Sydney, NS
Unfortunately nothing.I am also stuck with officer! What can we do!
I also ordered gcms notes, 45 days ago, still no notes. Application processing time is almost 8 months, aor September 6.anyone else ordered gcms last month? 37th day today and still hasn't arrived for me.
sep 6 aor is cursed i tell youI also ordered gcms notes, 45 days ago, still no notes. Application processing time is almost 8 months, aor September 6.

Mine is 0113. Do you believe they prioritise depending on NOC? If so, then maybe you have some facts, like certain NOCs are processed faster. My guestimation is that computer guys and girls receive PPRs in 4 months, but i dont have any statistics.Your NOC?
