My application has update: "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information"..
Anyone else has the similar update??
My AOR is 18th September 2018. My background check had started on 20th March 2019. In between those 5 months, there was no update.
I called up CIC yesterday to enquire about my progress on criminality, eligibility and security.
The agent said rest is cleared but security is in progress. He asked me to wait till August 18th. I am worried now as my medicals are getting expired on 28th August 2019. He said all I have to do is wait.
I have ordered GCMS notes on March 2, so haven't received it yet. Can anyone tell me why security may take 6 months
Hope the agent gave you the worst possible estimate and your application gets finalised well before that. What I feel is, you might be under SS which usually takes 3 - 5 months time. So just order one more set of GCMS notes (Make sure notes are generated post March 20 as your security check began on 20 March) and see if you are really under SS and if not, ignore the agent and chill cause you will get your PPR well before Aug.Hi Guys,

London visa office told me the same thing. That sometimes Security takes upto 6 months. Standard reply.
Slowly getting closer to the 7 month mark... 9 days to go

Guys, my AOR is 30th sept. My eligibility is MET, Security and Criminality checks are not started yet hence I am still in IP1. I got GCMS notes on 25th March after 33 days days and it says “Info Sharing” is “In-Progress”
Do you know why does it still say in-progress and not complete? Should I be concerned? When should these files be touched again and my background Check will start?
