Hazrat Hazrat hazraaat!
Just received the golden mail( gosh! I wanted to write this line so bad)
AOR 9 SEP 2018
Medical: around 15 Oct( tentative)
Ip2: Jan 4 2019
PPR : 15 Feb 2019

I am a New Delhi based applicant. I had recieved almost all my salary in cash although made the experience certificate with salary mentioned. I hired an immigration agent( never hire one). I am a lawyer by profession. I never called IRCC ( although was planning to call them on Monday). No GSM notes were ordered.
I had lost all hopes last week. My birthday was on the 9th, I wanted my PPR before my bday. I thought I will get into security screening but not. I am a Hindu but not a religious one. I chanted St. Expedite today evening while coming back from office and got the PR today ... I should start believing in the power of chanting now. Guys for any clarifications hit me up.
Apart from this can anyone tell me the ways to submit passport. Can I submit it by myself to the consulate/embassy.
PS: I am a big time lurker and it's my second post.
IELTS can cleared in the ninth attempt .
Final score was
L: 9
R: 9
S: 7.5
W: 7 ( this bastard took 8 times)
ECA: professional or master's degree.

Congrats .. !!!

Guys I have a query
My AOR is Sep 2018 and PPR is awaiting. If I get married before PPR then what is the procedure ??
Hi nagpal91manjot,

I was in the same situation as yours. In fact I even had the date of marriage and other arrangements confirmed but I decided not to risk, and postponed the wedding - told everyone PR should not take much time. And now I am in hot soup. I had planned my landing in Feb. And here I am sitting and replying to this thread.
So anyways I won't rant much here bcz that's not important.
I want to inform you that during my dilemma 5 months ago while deciding to choose between the wedding and this application - I read that IRCC or CIC - whatever you may call it - is very strict about this. Many people get married just to enter Canada as the spouse of the principal applicant - and then they divorce. So if you do get married - apart from your spouse's medicals and PCC and increased POF - you would (I repeat would) need to submit proofs or your relationship - this includes whatsapp chats, call logs, honeymoon photos, ticket and of course wedding invitations and photos. This is to confirm that you are not faking the marriage and not getting married for the sake of PR. Also, with all these additional docs, decision time would increase - so u gotta wait longer then. About the CRS score - I thought it would get recalculated - obv with the POF and everything. But some people here have said no - so I am not sure. Also, there is another option of selecting non-accompanying spouse. I guess there CRS isn't recalculated. But then that wouldn't be an option for you cz you would ultimately want to move to canada with your spouse.

Don't get stressed though. Why don't you get the PPR first and do a soft landing and then come back for the wedding. (that's what I am doing)

This is just based on my research and memory. Like CIC says - every case is different.

Well I am also in a same situation....I have also been delaying my marriage because of this situation and i also did a lot of research just to be sure about the option of how to get married then I came across this video "
"
Before taking any decision, I would suggest all those who are about to get married to go through this video
From my few friends experiences I know that sponsoring a spouse is quite difficult and takes a lot of time from around 1 to 1.5 years that is the reason I have decided to marry after getting COPR, no matter it will take around 2 to 3 months but at least at the end we will be going together and will not have to go through all the hurdles and situations alone in a foreign place
Again that's my opinion and just an advice to you all...decide carefully for yourself...thank you :)
