I just spoke now with the agent and got the following update which is same as at the beginning of this month. Only change is that my file is now at CPC Ottawa not CIO Sydney anymore. AOR: September 1

• Eligibility: Recommended Passed
• Criminality: Passed
• Security: Not Started
• Medical: Passed
• Info sharing: complete

My dear go and put N500 on your MTN. Text IDB500 to 131 for 50 minutes to call international. Call them around 9pm naija time. You'd be connected. That's what I did. Akpo na ha na ehihie. You won't get through.

And i asked them about the status and the agent said eligibilty is still in progress
But i have passed the criminality
Security has not started
I am on ip1 or ip2
And why eligibilty is taking too long

How are you guys able to connect to the agent? I'm trying regularly since almost a week and always get disconnected due to standard reason "high volume of calls".

Try to call at 8 according to toronto timings
And try again and again u will get connected

Called CIC again today, 3 weeks after the first call.
Medical Passed
Eligibility Recommended Passed
Criminality Passed

Security yet to start and the agent said it might overshoot the 6 month deadline. The maximum date of approval allotted to my application is June 7 as informed by the agent.

Great, I am also planning to travel by Feb End. Do you know if we have to update IRCC about it or do we have to provide a new PCC or any other document after travel?? Does the travel delay the processing of application?

What I found so far is, they do give you an extension on passport submission after PPR “if” you’re traveling internationally or need your passport for any other important reason. You can request 30,60 or 90 days extension.

That is why I started web form so I could inform about my travel. I’m not very clear on how to proceed. I will inform cic 2 weeks prior to travel date tho.

Also, no you don’t need any PCC.
Travel does not delay processing as far I know except if you receive PPR and you are traveling internationally, then Ofcourse you will not be able to submit it.

Otherwise, no there is no delay. But u must inform cic prior to travel.
