I received a ghost update on the 28th of November

Is it possible to check through e-mail if the application was approved (after a ghost update) rather than calling IRCC? If yes, which email would be?

Hi there, quick update from my side:
AOR: Sep 5th 2018.
MEP: Sep 24th 2018.
Ghost update: Dec 3rd 2018.

Just called CIC and the response was: File was approved, but email is still pending. If there is no communication by March 5th, call again and they will act on that. CIO Sydney.

when did you moved to ip2........asking as i am in IP2 since Nov 16 bt still they have not started security.........just US trips more than 6 mnths.........so was hoping Security will be fast but its not even started

does this mean anyone who gets ghost-updated has eligibility/background/file approved? just asking even though my AOR is in 20th October, but i got a ghost update - "app/profile updated" change in status on the 5th of December and nothing since then. so i was just wondering...

No, it only means that something happened in your application, something has been processed, the application moved from one office to another and so on.

How did you get this update? Did an email come saying "your account has been updated"? Or when you sign into the account; there is a message saying the account has been updated?

Background check says "we are processing your Background check" since day after my medicals have passed. On December 17 i got an ghost update in my account, i called today cic regarding that update they told me BG check is completed that was the reason i got an update. when can i expect ppr mail?

I received my GCMS notes today. It says my eligibility has met.. Medical passed.. security and background check haven't started.. Since medical passed on October, I have not received any normal or ghost update till now.. Should I worry?? And it says my file has been transferred to CPC ottawa a month ago

Does your portal reflect the same i.e eligibility passed? I meant to ask if portal gets updated as the application progresses or we need to speak an agent ?

We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility
We are processing your background and will send you a message if we need more information since Oct 18

So I called the agent when I got ghost update last week

Nothing has changed in my profile after 27th October, when I passed Medical and it was updated no documents required.
Not even got a ghost update...I hope things are fine and progressing. I am holding on the mantra "No news is also a Good news"
