did u try to call them?
no, as I read on different threads, it's difficult to get in touch with an agent and they don't like if you call before those 6 months that your application could be in process. I am thinking of ordering Gcms notes maybe at the beginning of January...

I called after 90 days of my AOR and they said that criminality is done but both eligibility and security are not started. I think to get my Notes in January but they take 1 month to provide it right?

I checked my profile today..no updates. Background check hasnt started yet.
It may have already started, but the status didn't update.
Don't rely on that status line to know where the application is. Many applicants have been in this same status until PPR.

I think that is what @Peacekeeper87 (or maybe some one else) has been telling us that there is no point in knowing the VO. It made sense when the applications were paper based. Anyway, I never bothered to check the VO. My patience skill which I learned & practiced from the years of "H1B to green card wait" is paying me back. ... However, the wait is killing me!!!
Indeed. There sometimes can be 3 visa offices having access to your application.
Primary, secondary visa office...etc.
At any point in time, your application can be transferred to another VO for work load optimisation. You can ask today and be told it's "in" Ottawa, but the very next day it would be "in" local visa office. Really no point.
When it was paper based, it was a relevant info, as the package would likely stay where it is for quite some time, as they would only transfer the applications only when really necessary.
People would say that this VO is slower or faster than another VO, but applicants should not forget that VOs are aiming for processing applications in 6 months at most. So, as long as that bar isn't reached, it's normal...

I should not have resorted to using Mr Matt DeCourcey's route to get a status of my application, but his office has kindly responded to my request after a month. The crux of the mail is below

"IRCC records confirm that this application was received on September 21, 2018, and is currently in progress at the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa. Records further confirm that this application is currently in queue for review by immigration officials. Furthermore, processing times of applications in this category is approximately 6 months from the date of receipt of the completed application. Therefore, it appears that this application is proceeding normally with no unexpected or unwarranted delays. "

Either CIC has not started working on my application or there is a review required, mostly it's the latter one. I submitted an updated bank letter with updated bank statements last week, since I had a portion of my funds as FD. I liquidated them and got the updated bank docs.

You emailed the MP even before three months were up?:eek::eek:

Sadly, you just opened up another Pandora box for some people as other MP has stopped responding to such requests.

I am in the same boat. I applied from USA as well.
AOR: Sep 9
MEP: Oct 4
IP2: Nov 7th

I also cannot connect to an agent from the states.

Actually my friend applied with me, and her timeline also look exactly the same.

Seems like the pattern is very much same for many of us who applied from USA.

So I am assuming that we will all get the PPR mail together, hopefully soon.
I am also applying from US....AOR 16SEP...MP2 16NOV.......as of 8DEC.......security didnot even start as per CIC callcenter......not sure why not even started....have ordered notes but will get same info there i think

@silvana did you get any email when it goes back to IP1 and again to IP2?

i think number of US based applicants has significantly increased in september, that may be delay in our applications. Earlier many used to get ppr around 60 days, but now just stuck in ip2. Hopefully cic starts clearing sep backlogged aors soon.

Hello,

Quick question. How would I know if my application is stuck at "Eligibility review required" ? Does it reflect in the status ?
Do I have to order GCMS notes ?
