Just spoke to very sweet agent. Now about the main point: if your application is at CIO Sydney then make, not some but a truck full of popcorns and order a tanker full of soda and sit back and relax they are not going to touch your file any time soon. I am in the exact same status for 4 weeks. Only thing pending is the security check and then the final review, but that is still 'not started'. Some people do get to know it is ongoing or completed, so if the agent said not started, then it is not started. I am bored with this process now to the extent that I would rather stay where I am or go back to my home country than going to Canada. September is probably the only month in 2018 when (at least on immitracker) not a single US resident has got a PPR yet, with some already at 100 days. At least a few people received it within 2 months in previous month AORs. I am quitting it now. If it comes well and good and I will think what to do. If it doesn't I dontd give a *** anymore. Good luck to all of you today is my last day on this forum. Hope you all get it sooner and don't have to wait for 6 months. Adios
Hi,
I am just curious to ask did agent dropped any hints or let you know explicitly that CIO sydney is the most sluggish center ? And you might be just right but I want to establish/explore the credibility of the statement "CIO Sydney might not touch the files anytime soon " before almost believing into it? Is it based on the current trend that you state so ?

On June thread there are 12-15 people with files approved for more than 50 days ago but no PPR mail from CIO Sydney. If you want to consider it a trend or an indication of slow down at Sydney.

That's right . I am aware of the trends and that's what I am trying to drive at in my question above whether the conclusion of CIO Sydney files would not be touched anytime soon is based on pure trend only ? More so everyone is aware of the trend but to state it so affirmatively must have gotten more to it is what I thought. :)

At the end of the day everything is "speculation" or an "educated guess". It depends on how you want to look at it. I don't think anyone (other than IRCC) can be 100% affirmative about whether files will or won't be touched in a particular VO. For me personally, such a stark trend or event at a particular VO is difficult to ignore. And given the holiday season is around the corner I would say it is a fair enough educated guess on OP's part to conclude no real progress in files at CIO. It may or may not be true. But if there was a possibility of obtaining 100% accurate information there won't be people like you and me on these forums :D I wish there was some avenue.

Fellas , IRCC sendin mail to all applicant .

Quote-:

On December 12, 2018, you’ll see a progress bar for your Express Entry application. The progress bar shows the time elapsed since we received your application. It will give you an estimated completion date based on our latest estimated processing times.

We’ll let you know when the progress bar is available for your application.

Unquote-:

If we click on the 'processing times' in blue font, it takes us to another link and ultimately shows ' 6 months'.

The mail clearly specifies 'time elapsed since we recd ur application", and has not made specifics regarding progress /achievements/ transperancy on our files during this period, so although I don't think there's anything to be excited to await about on the 12th (other than ppr mails if they shoot it out), I definitely think that the immigration team is taking steps to streamline their process inorder to become more transparent and courteous with their immigration procedures unlike many other developed countries.

Hi everyone,
I need some help here,

AOR is : 3 Sep - FSW - O - Single applicant
MEP + Biometrics Requested : 27 Sep
ADR: Form 5475
Biometrics given on : 8 Oct
No more updates.

my question is: when I submitted my application for PR my Pof was equal to CAD $15000, a month later the currency underwent a sever devaluation & and the CAD raised from: 1 CAD - 13 SDG during Sep to 1 CAD = 36 in Oct, leaving my PoF to equal now around CAD $5000 ONLY.
I have asking everywhere, some people say that CIC usually sticks to the rate of your AOR, others say that PoFs are VALIDATED on the day the plan to verify your PR Application, and I am really scattered , the country is undergoing a sever cash shortage keeping everyone all to save money in the form of USD or jewelry AT HOME, because banks will not give you the money when we need them. I have more than the needed funds but I can not risk them with the banks.
I have been hearing about a lot of cases of PR on hold for PoF review, and others who received ADR for PoF Update.
is it possible that I will be receiving an ADR for PoF?
many told me not to raise a CSE for PoF & wait till they ask it.
is it possible by ANY MEANS that the officer handling my case will stick to the rate on AOR date? Is there any hope?
thanks everyone & good luck with all your endeavors.

Normally they verify details according to your AOR but in this case they would definitely come back to you with an ADR of bank statement as they would want to make sure you have sufficient funds to survive in Canada until you have a job. Dont't worry about a rejection - it wont happen without an ADR.

Not really. I know someone who didn't get an ADR and application was refused due to dip in the exchange rate. My advice is raise CSE with updated POF showing new amount and balance. Don't wait for CIC, a mean and angry officer could be treating your file and use that as an excuse to deny your application
