Zup guys! I'm from Philippines, and still finishing the documents needed for visa application. (STUDY PERMIT) so far, my problem is financial. My sponsor is my uncle, my Dad's bro in law.

- My show money from my sponsor is ready which is
about 50-55 CAD.
- land title
- car registrations
- house and lot title

- I just got my LOA
-IELTS - 6.5 overall.
-Licensed just renewed (I'm a Nurse)
- Board exam rating is more than the average passing rate which is 75% and I got 80%
- 23 years old. With one year experience.
- my passport is having visa stamps from ASEAN countries, plus I visited India last February. So, yes! I'm a traveller! ( visa stamps are vital too, isn't it?)

-1st semester downpayment PAID (2,300 CAD)
because will pay the tuition if I get the visa, according to my agency.

so my concern is that,
should I have:
-GIC or is it an option?

- a huge money in my bank account? How much?

-ticket back en forth before passing my documents for application?
-----
- when is the best time to pay accommodation?

Anyone here applying for Study permit got rejected? And why? Your reasons are welcome!

Comments, suggestions, will be helpful too!

Salamat!

Having GIC will make your case stronger, especially when your sponsor is not a close relative. (That reminds me, try to prove your relationship with your sponsor, that will be important)

Total fund required for a safe application = 1yr tuition+ $10K (GIC is the best option, although not mandatory for all categories)+ $2K(for travel and settling cost) + some documentation for further provision of money in following years (sponsor's salary slips/ account balance, income tax return etc. READY CASH OR EQUIVALENTS are considered, not property documents. Notarised affidavit of support will be important )

Buying air tickets is not necessary.

Deal with accommodation after you receive visa.

Travel history ONLY to Canada, USA, UK, Australia, Europe counts, where visa rules are stricter.
