can anyone share how long does the citizenship test / interview takes? thanks,

We were there about an hour and a half total. Both my wife and myself were some of the first done with the test, but due to how the foders get distributed to the agents (there were 5 working the interviews) it all depends on where you are in the pile and who is in front of you. The piles weren't in the order of test completion. We had an apparent problem case in front of us who was completely unprepared, so we ended up waiting around 45 min for the interview. I've heard it can be as short as 15 min for the interview though.

Do we know how long it takes to get the test invite email from the date of ECAS Update.

My ECAS has a date of 15th Jan for test invite but no email yet...

Thanks, I just came back from the test. It took about 45 minutes, and it was just as you had described. I don't see any apparant order how they interview the applicants. But it was not that big a difference, I am fairly sure they will finish interviewing all in about 1 hour

It will be a paper letter. So it is quite normal to take one week for the letter to arrive after you see the update in ECAS.

Thanks, I just came back from the test. It took about 45 minutes, and it was just as you had described. I don't see any apparant order how they interview the applicants. But it was not that big a difference, I am fairly sure they will finish interviewing all in about 1 hour

I did CELPIP and sent in a photocopy with my application. The officer did not ask to see the original.

Decision made yesterday 17th and my Oath would be Feb 23.. Super happy

After the oath ceremony, make sure you will pick up your citizenship certificate before him! hah hah

Just read that thing like twice it's pretty easy and most questions are common sense.

Congrats. Since our exams are just 2 days apart, It gives me hope that i will have my oath ceremony on the next occasion, on Feb 26th.

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on September 14, 2017.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on October 14, 2017.
3. We started processing your application on November 25, 2017.
4. We sent you a notice on January 16, 2018 to appear and write the citizenship test on February 9, 2018 at 10:15 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
