Hi, sorry to hear that. Is that RQ ? If I may ask, did you receive an email or regular mail ? Also, does your ECAS reflect the same ?

Yes, it is a form of RQ.

They sent a regular mail which goes as follows:
"The purpose of this letter is to advise you that a preliminary review of of your application has been completed. Your file has now been referred to our Program Support Unit for a final review. This review will results an additional delay...."

ECAS says nothing about this. It says "in process".

Hi Nuwa, What they have asked to provide?

Hi 0ntarian,
They haven't asked for anything so far. They mentioned in the mail that "You will be contacted if additional information or documents are required to complete your file"

Just wondering, was there any identity related issue or something they wanted to be clear before proceeding further to your case? I guess there might not be clear answer until they tell you about the PSU issue. However, it seems if they need further verification about identity, integrity or something looks beyond the straight forward processing criteria the files probably are sent to PSU. This is my guess after going through few previous posts.

By the way it seems that you had previously applied for the citizenship in 2015, and decision had been already made on that. Could it be related to that one?

Thanks Officer Green for searching about this issue. I also had a look at some previous posts, which agrees with what you have mentioned.

This is regarding my spouse's application. I became a citizen last year.

They haven't stated a reason that triggered this PSU thing. I think that the most probable reason is a correction made to the name on the passport.

Added, can you provide more details? Date sent, date received, single or family and location, AOR date?

May I ask , if the FP request came from st Clair office , does that mean the test will Ben there ? And a probability of a RQ?

FP has no correlation with RQ. FP request does come from the local CPC processing your file and highly likely your test will be there. I say highly likely, because recently files have been bouncing between different offices based on their workload. Test could be at St. Clair, oath could be at Scarborough type of thing.

My request came from st Clair although the regulars office for Oakville applicants is Hamilton, so I believe special cases are transferred to St Clair , I hope not though ;)
