If your new SWAP visa is not granted, you may also apply for a restoration of status as a visitor (during the processing time you will be out of status, but CIC is likely not to care if they see you've applied for a restoration). Hopefully you'll get good news on your PR before any of that is necessary. Good luck!

The Nexus pass sounds really handy.

Honestly, for me, the hardest part has been waiting after the background check started. It's only been 9 days but I feel like I've been waiting 9 years. I guess it's hard because I know that's the final step before DM, my anticipation is so high!

Question about Nexus after PR, so my american hubbie has one like you, will he have to re-apply for one after his new status? can he apply for one as PR only? I haven't googled it I'm being lazy and asking you

I have no idea! I never really thought about it to be honest. I know you're supposed to update them with anything that changes, so I will definitely update whatever info I can on the website. I doubt you would have to apply for a different one since it's based on your citizenship and not your status. When you go through the borders, still use his nexus pass and if they ask, show the PR card...?

I think the new Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) should list one of the causation of OCD is due to family sponsorship application process ;D
