Just wanted to confirm..

My spouse had filed the PR from Canada for me. Does it mean the processing time will be 12 months instead of 18 ..as when I go an check it in CIC it says if my application is filed from Canada, its 12 months ?

Please confirm

It doesn't matter where the application is filed "from". Your application will go to the visa office who processes those from your country of citizenship, or residence.
For example: My husband is from Guatemala, so our file got sent to the visa office in Mexico City which processes all of Central America and more.

I am from India and my file.has come to Delhi for further processing..but then why do they say its different whsn u apply from Canada and India?

Do you mean if you do an Inland or Outland application? Those are 2 different application process though..

Since your file has been sent to Delhi then you submitted an OUTLAND application.

Can you please confirm if you have same lines for sponsorship side i.e. not no. of lines, but the content?

I have "In Process" for sponsorship side but the third line does not say about decision of sponsorship.

2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on October 20, 2016.
3. We started processing your application on October 19, 2016.

What will you have to do if visa runs out first, once when I spoke with an immigration consultant, she said it's possible to use the fact that you're waiting for a decision of PR as a reason to extend a current visa. Perhaps you want to check on that. i wish my app was as straight forward as yours, and i hope xmas doesn't slow your process along!

Unfortunately, the visa I have cannot be extended. It's the SWAP visa and since they've uplifted a few of the terms, I'm actually able to apply for it again(which I did). So, I'm kinda on this crazy train where I'm checking myCIC for not only the PR visa, but also the SWAP one
Kinda just hoping one of them comes through in time or within a couple weeks, so my job can rehire me!!!

If your new SWAP visa is not granted, you may also apply for a restoration of status as a visitor (during the processing time you will be out of status, but CIC is likely not to care if they see you've applied for a restoration). Hopefully you'll get good news on your PR before any of that is necessary. Good luck!

Dont worry CIC have few ways to says these line one another friend from september has total differnt 3 lines

My PA side
