From what I understand if you have a representative you won't be able to link, but when you try it pops up a message that indicates that, it should still indicate an application could be found.

Have you tried linking using the Family Name/Given Name/Date of Birth option? I was able to link doing this before I even received AOR, but it took me a while to actually get the right combination of info. I ended up linking mine with 1 as the number of people on the application instead of what it should have been.

I tried linking with my application number and UCI number, also tried with family name of sponsor and applicant but still no application

Application was received Sept 27th, Oct 22 my wife (the sponsor) received an email with the UCI and Application #. No AOR eMail or physical letter yet, and trying to see where we are in ECAS just results in an error stating "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided." using either the Application or UCI number. Phooey. :(

That email your wife received IS your AOR! Congrats ;)

And don't worry about ECAS just yet, it doesn't get updated as regularly and it could still be weeks until you can access it from what I've read on here.

Now your next step is to get SA (Sponsor Approval), the average for that right now is about 10 days after AOR.

Not too sure who updated my dates in the spreadsheet to Stage 1 AOR as I have not received an email or any info other than that my package was received on Sept 26. It is stressful and disappointing waiting as everyone else is getting emails and able to link accounts. :( As I sit and wait, racking my brain trying to figure out what I may have done wrong with our application? Any ways I removed that info as it was misleading. As much as I wish it were true!

Congrats to everyone that has reached the next stage and may you move quickly through the process!

I am in the same boat. My application received September 28 and no communication yet. Been able to link the application but no luck with ECAS. From what I have seen in these forums is that it is all over the place; some applicants neither can link to my CIC or have access to ECAS yet receive AOR1 while some don't receive AOR1 at all. I would suggest you should start worrying about your application if you hear nothing past 33 days which is the posted timeline in CIC website for the assessment of the Sponsor. I know the earlier the better but it's not to worry to much at this time.

I wish every September applicant speedy process and SA approval :) next week including myself :D

Cheers

It is? WOOOO! I just thought it would say acknowledgement of receipt on it or something, but it doesn't. But if that IS the AOR, yay! Happy Dance. :D

I try to link it everyday with my GC Key, every way possible lol. I have actually managed to get myself kicked off the system already today...oops. I even try to check my application through my receipt number and that's a no go as well.

Today, my MyCIC updated to "review in progress" for review of eligibility! It's nice to know things are moving along. Good luck to everyone else!

My application package was received at CPC-Missisauga on Friday, 02 Sep, 12:20 pm by R Mahmood. The long wait begins now! Also can anyone tell me how I will get AOR1? is it sent to my email (sponsor email id) or principal applicant (spouse) email id or is it by regular post? Thanks!

Hi , if you are the Sponser and you provided an email ... they will use this email from now on to sent you AOR1 and to communicate with you in general .

Does CIC work on Saturdays?? I never check on the weekend because I just assume nothing will happen, but now I will! Haha

Most CIC's updates (to applications) in Ecas and myCIC are made the weekend, and especially when they announce a period of maintenace (Saturday or Sunday nights, ET).

Thank You. This site is so helpful. I hope we continue to assist each other in such a hard time being away from our loved ones. Congrats to all receiving some kinda good news so far.
