Yes, I live and work in Ottawa. VO is Ankara and I might consider uniting with my wife once I got SA and wait for the rest of the process. I just realized it used to say 12 months for Ankara in the CIC website and now it says 11 months. But actual cases I have seen here is finalized well under 6 months.

Also, I have asked this question many times but having it linked to myCIC and getting an XF number means the application is good to go and won't be returned? Any idea?

Thanks.

Well hopefully you have a speedy process!! Unfortunately no, from what I understand, the XF number is only temporary. It means they've received your application but not much else. Once it changes to a F number, then it's a good sign!

I am in the middle of gathering all the documents for Sponsorship Visa, outside Canada. I am in Canada now and will be during the process, but regarding my residential address, can I put "Same as mailing address",which is our address here in Canada, or should I put my address from my country??

Yes, you can put "same as mailing address" as long as you are going to be in Canada the whole time. That's what I did too.

By the way, everyone, I got AOR1 today. One day after I noticed the changes on MyCIC. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

Thanks for the answer!

An also, in Additional Family Information where you write about your parents and siblings, they ask for my present address, can I write our Canadian address there as well?

I was just able to link tonight. I finally nailed it using 1 as the number of applicants. Have you tried that yet?

You mean today, Saturday? CIC doing overtime? :)

I suppose so! I was very surprised to get the email this afternoon.

Ottawa? I'm from Ottawa, too! Sponsoring American.

We still have yet to be able to link applications.

Emails are programmed by CIC in advance and sent one or two days later. It's not surprising to hear from them late on a Saturday.
