I am not sure if some came across this kind of situation. I have applied for my wife and child who resides in India and I m PR working full time. After a month completion I have received a letter from CIC o refund $415.00 NO reason mentioned

I will appreciate if people can share some view, originally i paid $1115.00 and refund of $415 doesn't make sense to me .

Your total fees should have been as follow:

1. Sponsorship fees ($75 for the sponsor + $475 for the Principal applicant + $150 for one (1) dependent) = $700
2. $490 for PR
----------------------------------------------
For a total of $1190

But since you paid the wrong amount ($1115), they didn't consider your PR fees and refund you the difference ($1190 - $700 = $415).

Which means that you should pay your PR fees of $490 ASAP.

Is ur file number beginning from XF##?
This means it is temporary... you will get AOR email soon.. once you have that you can be 100% sure the application wont be returned.. till then keep calm and keep ur hopes high..

I've seen questions about linking your application to your account, but I couldn't find the answer, if that means anything? I was able to link my application without getting the AOR yet, does that imply, that they won't send it back or it just means it's on file now?

Its been 8 days since we got SA email and my ECAS still doesnot show In Process on the PA side.. :'( im getting worried..sigh

CIC is not using an updated in real time system. Updates in ECAS are performed by batches. So it could take several days to update, AND even more than that according to several posts in manys discussion bords, including this one.

If you got your SA you should lay back and relax a bit, the process is following its normal course.

Hi everyone.
I sent my application around sept 15th, It was received by Mahmoud after 3 days. I tried linking my application and had success at it. It states my application was submitted sept 26, 2016. The application has been "open" since. When do I see it "in review" or see sponsor approval?

Just successfully linked our application to our account, yay! With the temporary application number starting with XF, can we assume that the application won't be returned? I am a bit worried about that, since the mail service is not operating at all here in Guatemala for an undetermined period, so I don't even know how it would get to us.. Unless CIC uses a courier service to send back an application?

Hi all

After one and a half years, I am using this portal again, this time for my wife!

I submitted spousal sponsorship application and it reached CPC-M on 23rd September, signed by R Mahmood.

I also linked the application today with a new account in GCKey and got temporary file number starting with X.

Status shows that the application is open and was submitted on 7th October, i.e. two weeks after it reached! Is this normal?

The submitted part just means the day that you linked it to the online account. It doesn't mean anything about your actual application.

I also noticed although small number of applicants are entered in the spreadsheet, the average day for AOR1 is 24 days which is similar to previous months but AOR1 to SA is on average 7 days! Either the CPC got super fast for straightforward application or these are just outliers. What do you think?

My application was received on the 22nd of September. Still not able to link my account to the application.
Where did you find the spreadsheet?
Can you tell me what exact info you filled up maybe i am doing some mistake?
