Just sent our application yesterday from Guatemala :) Hoping for a speedy process!!

Keep hopes high.. Im sure over the next week so we will be recieving AOR1 emails followed by sponsor approval emails..

I noticed a week back that sponsor approval process has been reduced to 29 days (for london visa office).. which is good news! previously it was 59 days... you can check the PA visa office whether your have reduced and keep your fingers crossed. :)

Hello! They received my package on Sept 6 and I was able to link the application to my account today, although it only says pending registration and has an "XF" number.

XF means temporary, after AOR1, it will be changed to just F

Everyone. You can only submit application on paper

Hey all!

After months of waiting on everything to finish off our application, it was received (according to FedEx) on Sept 16th. Now we wait patiently for the AOR-1, I guess :)

We sent the full spousal app to Missasagua, Station B....... I hope that was the right address! We are both currently in Canada, I'm on a year long visitor's status extension (I'm American). :)

I hope we hear something official via email soon!

I just sent my application to Mississauga this morning! I'm applying Outland and I'm from Germany...hope things are going smoothly. Anyone else from Germany? :)

Let us all hope the sponsor approval process quickens as well..
our real wait begins once the application reaches the respective Visa Office....that is the longest process.. :(

My application was received on September 16th. Excited to finally get this ball rolling.

Hello

I received my email confirmation today but I am not able connect to see the status online. Will this take a few days before I can link it online??

Application received in Mississauga Sept 8 received email confirmation September 22!

Hi Everyone! My application was received on September 12, 2016 for outland sponsorship. Can anyone give me some advice on how to link this paper application online. I've been trying like crazy and not sure if i'm doing something wrong or if i'm trying to link too early.

Any help is appreciated :)

Hi, You will need to recieve an AOR1 email from the CIC which will contain the application file number..unless you donot have it u cannot link the file..You will recieve the email in 2-3 weeks hopefully...

Moreover, if you donot have a GCKey you can create it now using CIC website but u cannot do more than that as of now till u get the AOR1 email.

I think you're thinking of the link to ECAS?

You don't need the AOR1 to link your application to MyCIC though. I just did so today successfully and my application only arrived on the 16th of September, so I haven't received AOR1 yet. It's just that the combination of things you put in has to be correct.

I only put in my (the principal applicant's) last name, given name (both first and middle as that's how I listed it on the app) and date of birth. Then I put a single space for my hometown and selected the country I'm a citizen of. Then I skipped the passport info and filled in where I planned to live in Canada (which I also put on the application). I selected 1 for the number of people included in the application as I have no dependents. (I heard some people need to put 2 for this even if they have no dependents though).
