I was able to link my application just now!!! It was received in Mississauga on September 7th!!

I used family name, given name, and DOB. I put a space where they asked for birth city selected a birth country, left passport info blank and put 1 for number of applicants (which is correct).

Hello Everyone,

I'm very new in this forum. I will be sponsoring my husband in the next few months and working on the documents. I have a few questions. My husband is based in Singapore, he already had his medical exam. How is he going to get a police clearance in SG? He also worked in Qatar for a year last 2014, does he need to get a police clearance as well in Qatar, how is he going to obtain that? I'm 5 months pregnant now, we got married April of this year only in Philippines. What are the chances if he'll apply a tourist visa first before we file his application under spousal sponsorship just to make sure he'll make it on time when I give birth in January 2017? Should I file his application under spousal sponsorship first before applying him as a tourist?

Thank you! :)

Wahoo! Just dropped my package off for submission at the post office.
What a weight off my shoulders, at last...

Here comes the wait.

Im from Pakistan and husband is a Canadian citizen. We submitted our spousal application file early Sept 2016 at Mississauga office and it was received on 6 Sept 2016 by R mahmud. *Fingers crossed for AOR1*

Oh i was reading through certain threads which stated that the Immigration Minister has recently declared that they are about to bring changes in immigration process in fall 2016. Will that mean that we will have to resubmit our documents in case of revisions? and does that mean that our timelines are going to be extended? :( I feel hopeless right now..

Changes will be for good reasons no need to be a hopeless.

I think they just mean they are trying to speedy up the processes when they mean changes. I think you'll be ok, don't worry. :)

I feel like I'm right on the edge between being an August or September applicant. Our lawyer sent our application on August 19th, but she has told us if it has arrived yet, so it could be the end of August or September. How long does it tend to take for it to get there (from within Canada), does anyone know?

Please help me with these silly queries since im utterly confused... :/
1) will the AOR1 email be sent to only the sponsor? Or both?
2) will the AoR1 email contain the UCI code of prinicipal applicant which i can use to track my application?
3) Can i still track my application using my sponsor's UCI code? If yes then is it by simply using the trackinv system on cic website or is there any other way?

Hi all,

I'm also a September applicant and my package was also received on the 6th by Mahmood.

The best of luck for all of us Sept. applicants!

Cheers
