WELCOME TO SEPTEMBER 2016 SPOUSAL APPLICANTS FORUM: NEW MONTH WITH NEW HOPES ;D ;D :D :D

All the applicants and sponsors can start this forum with understanding of outland spousal process;

1. SPONSOR expectation during the first step:

a. AOR1 or Application package will be sent back for lack of relevant document
b. Request for missing document or updated document - based on your spousal application
c. Medical, CIC payment, required application forms and Police report check
d. SA = Sponsor Approval email or letter

2. SPONSORED APPLICANT expectation during the second step: Shocked Shocked

e. AOR2 - from Visa Office
f. missing or updated document request - based on case to case
g. eligibility and criminality check
h. Interview - based on case to case
i. passport request for the visa

I will be applying soon as I am finalising all my docs this week

I hope I can be September applicant :)

My application package was received at CPC-Missisauga on Friday, 02 Sep, 12:20 pm by R Mahmood. The long wait begins now! Also can anyone tell me how I will get AOR1? is it sent to my email (sponsor email id) or principal applicant (spouse) email id or is it by regular post? Thanks!

Finally....6 month FBI check wait, 2 month wedding certificate wait........package all posted Friday September 2nd..phew!

From what I can see of late, it appears about 35% applicant processing goes to Ottawa, 65% to London - and Ottawa seems to be processing in about a third of the time that London takes. Be interesting to see what shows up on the spreadsheet in the next couple of months as we wait for sponsor approval. Does anyone know why Ottawa might be chosen by the processing team rather than London -or is it just pot luck?

Could anybody help me to know how to post all the timeline of procedures beneath our log in name? Thanks a lot!

This option shows up when you have 10 post. I can see you have 12 post so if you click on your profile you will see option there. I hope it will help.

Does anyone know how they decide if there need to be an interview for Delhi appliants

It will take 10 to 20 days to get AOR1.... and sponsor will get it.............

Mississauga received my package today! Let's hope September apps get processed as fast as the summer months have!

I have a question about income requirements. It confuses me a little. If you are sponsoring your spouse, do you actually have an amount that you need to prove? I have a child here in Canada but he does not have any children.

There are no income requirements to sponsor a spouse.

They look at both the ability of the sponsor and the spouse to provide enough income to not go on welfare, but there is no set amount.

Thank you. That's what I thought but wanted to clarify
