My ecas was updated yesterday afternoon ;D, according to the ecas, they sent the letter on the 16-01-2017 and the Oath will be on the 31-01-2017, I am waiting for the letter by mail

a quick update on application. I have received Fingerprint request on 1/17/17 and and sent it on the next day to RCMP. It will probably take quite a bit for them to process it and send the result to CIC. I am glad though it was just nothing but a fingerprint request.

anybody knows the processing time for this?

2- We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on September 15, 2016.
3- We started processing your application on September 22, 2016.

There hasn't been any update on my application since then! The waiting time to simply receive the test date isn't much fun!

Any suggestion by anyone in the room?

Which area are you in if you don't mind my asking? I am in a very similar situation like you, IP since Oct 7 (App. received Sep 22, AOR Sep 30) and nothing so far. The only thing we can do is to call IRCC which I did. They said my case looks good, that's it. Try not to worry too much as the invitation will come eventually. To be honest, waiting does not have much impact to my daily life anyways. Let's wish for the best, together!
